Qtrs have long been reduced from 25 mins plus time on to 20 mins plus time on yet somehow these days most qtrs still go for well over 30 mins. Ten to thirteen minutes of time on added to each twenty minute qtr, it's a bloody farce of the AFL's own making that qtrs go so long. If it weren't for the umpires arse waggling, recalled bounces, goal reviews, traffic directing at each bounce and the extended wait for the little green commercials finished light to flick on. There'd be no reason for any qtr to take longer than 25 or 26 mins, unless of course they had to bring out the wheelie bin for seriously injured players.
