Changes v Crows

Cant understand the doom and gloom.

Last night is a moment of clarity. We have the cattle. Just need a (slight) calibration away from grunt to skill.

Graham in form is OK but he is not in form. Townsend is physically and mentally a warrior but with few other tricks. Castagna just a headless chook. Soldo should be milking cows (see the play on cattle theme) in Belgrade. Houli OMG just sucks time and space out of every opportunity, selfish wasteful player with woeful decision making.

So out Soldo, Graham, Townsend, Castagna, Houli, Higgins

In Whoever grabs it at VFL level but lets give even more kids a go for a week - Miller RCD Aarts CCJ Menadue Bolton (if fit).

And then pray for the quick return of Nank Jack Lambert Ross Shorty Astbury and eventually the big cahuna Rancey in September.

Grimes Garthy Miller
Stacky Flossy Shed
Kmac Cotchin Menadue
Butler Baker Rioli
Balta Lynch Caddy

CCJ Martin Prestia

RCD Aarts Naish Bolton

If we're gonna keep playing stupid (first with Grigg and now Caddy) in the ruck, then wake up Dimma and start playing Cholly in the ruck.

Soldo is a waste..of..time.

Astbury is unlikely to play so it will be Garth and Balta playing as key position defenders against Tex, Jenkins and Lynch.

Another 10 goal loss incoming.

Sure was a moment of clarity. The stars having career best seasons, an innovative gameplan and an unprecedented injury run took an average list to back to back top 4 finishes and a flag. Take the stars out and have the gameplan picked apart and we get exposed by the big boys.

Was good while it lasted.

All the good points you make are undone by your constant criticism of Houli.

Seriously Lamb let it go.

Yep. Otherwise a solid post by Lamby.

It's like that coloured dress Smoking. Some people see the right colour , others the illusion.

Smoking and Baron. Can you not see how ordinary Houli is with the ball?

Do you understand the concept of opportunity cost?

Butler has to go, he was deplorable.
Same with Soldo.

I don't care who comes in to replace them, just get em out

Pretty sure you were spouting the same stuff about Hardwick in 2016 .

It's ok to acknowledge when you are wrong.

11 tackles and No 1 in the side for pressure points.

Agree he was woeful with the ball, although he at least kicked staraght at goal which Caddy, Lynch and Prestia were unable to do.

Running at 80% efficiency and averaging 540m gained per game.

Who and what are you comparing him to?

And yet very little of what he goes leads to scores and a lot of what he does leads to scores against as rated by Afl player ratings which has him as a No: 260s player (good ordinary player) basically all career.

Bolton (25 possessions 11 tackles) Broad and Chol apparently good today.

Our fingers crossed return players

Rd 15 Astbury Ellis Short Lambert ( 3 weeks)
Rd 16 Ross Riewoldt Nank. ( 4 weeks)

Qualifying final A Rance. (13 weeks)

I would not risk Rance for any games this year. Those tendon grafts need 10+ months to heal properly and we can't afford to lose him for next year as well. Even if he played he would be so out of touch and lacking match practice he would be back to his old Rance turnovers and who wants that again.

When you only get 7 disposals for a match (fourth least on the ground for either team) you can't afford to be woeful. 11 tackles doesn't read so well when placed in that context. Low possession, second to the ball and wasteful when he has it. And as for his junk time goal, well it wasn't enough to save Rioli from demotion 2 weeks ago when he did the same. Butler's return to the senior side has been underwhelming to say the least.
