Adelaide equalize with the last kick of the game 2-2.

Extra time, game on.

Thanks - will watch it again as I had turned it off.

If Adelaide pull of the upset and victory upset Sydney, then is the final played in Melbourne

Cool - long way to go yet. It wouldn’t happen that often, the two top teams losing.

It would be great though wouldn't it. And Victory then flog Adelaide 6-0 just for old times sake :D

Unlikely though Glory now lead 3-2.

Extraordinary penalty shoot out and game. Deserves a wider audience than it will get.

Yes a great game.

I wonder how many people will go to the Grand Final at Optus Stadium? It holds 60 odd thousand people, bandwagoners will be coming out of the woodwork i reckon.

Interesting that I just read that they didn’t toss a coin to determine which goals (end) the penalty shootout would be - an FFA official came down and just directed the umpire to use the one where Perth’s cheer squad sat handing them a massive advantage........because fox told them to.

That’s corruption just there - how do we know that a Perth official wasn’t into FFA ear.

It’s just basic mistakes being made that corrupts the game.

If Victory can't win it this year I hope Perth do... a mighty season from them. Well done Reds for last night as well.

friday night... what a game. probably in the top 4-5 ALeague games of all time alongside the infamous brisbane v CCM GF, last years semi final, and the WSW v Brisbane semi final where WSW came back from 3-0.

last night.... well nothing short of disgraceful and I'm still scratching my head over it. And still angry. I just thought we'd do what we always do and win these big games. the 2 finals probably sums up our season... hot and cold. there will have to be repercussions. and a shaky defence.

Does the bald headed runt keep his job after tonight's embarrassment ??

personally i think its time for Kev to move on if he has ambitions to further himself. but my gut feeling is that he will stay on for 1 more year. unless that decision is taken away from him (which i doubt).

I got on a plane just before the game started so did a bit of a double take when I checked the score at the other end :hihi :hihi

Agree actually. He's been with Victory quite a while for two Championships - but it's probably time for new pastures for him and for a new coach for the Victory soon.

Victory have just announced Marco Kurz as coach. City announced frenchman Erick Mombaerts as coach yesterday.

Next season will start on October 11. There will be 26 games each over 29 rounds (due to the bye). It will be an AFL style compromised draw where some teams will meet each other 3 times and some teams 2 times. The FFA (and Foxtel) believe 26 rounds is the right number, so the compromised draw will continue until we expand to 14 yeams (which I believe will take 3 years).

The draw will be released in Mid-July. I am hearing Western United will be playing 8 home games in Geelong, 2 in Ballarat and 3 at Marvel for the next 2 seasons while Tarneit Stadium is built.
