Dustin Martin

Hope Dusty shoots off to NZ and spends some quality time with his old man for a few days.
Come back primed and ready to go.

Martin won't like the idea of resting this week, but it should stand him in good stead for the remainder of the season.
He probably does, like most players, have a few niggles but we need hin to be as cherry ripe as possible come September.
Watching him in the prelim last year and the way he laboured through that game was awful and, dare I say it, demoralising.
The don't argues will be back in September.

Yup and that was a very heavy track. It's like two weeks off. Lots of very heavy legs in the last quarter.

Could be an issue for us next week. Light week on the track coming up?
Could work as the training loading we would have liked going into finals but might not have been able to undertake due to needing to win every game. Now we can taper and be running on top of the dry grounds to come.

Unless it's a wet September, in which case the flag is as good as ours.

I would say they have been expertly managed, and are ready to rip holes in it, tman.
I think you might be right.
Pretty sure Dusty played late last year when a rest may have benefited him. A fit Dusty, Chimp, Prestia, Lambert, Sheda, Lambert and Graham to name a few, should take us a long way in September.

I agree, a second Lambert will be great. One thing the Tigers have done well last few years is manage player workloads, whether that's giving them a week off or even just less game time.

Aarts maybe not be a Lambert clone .....but has the potential to get close :)
Reckon Aarts may be the 2019 Townsend.

I'm still not convinced that we've seen the full Richmond playbook yet. I would love to see the stats but Dusty sitting in the goal square doesn't seem as common. Only 17 goals this year, basically one per. And had three in the North debacle. Take those out and it's even less. Reckon his heat map would show someone getting more ball behind centre. Every final we have won Dusty has been damaging forward of centre. We know what Dusty 1 out does.

But here's the rub, how many times have we had Dusty, Cotch, Ross and Graham in the same side? Not once by my calculation's.

Hello September.....
