Might backfire, all the images I have seen are of Cameron holding Grimes.

Grimes might be in for Joel Selwood type free kick numbers on Saturday night.

There is a touch of irony that for so many years small forwards used to terrorise us. Stevie Milne used to love playing on us. And impossible to forget the Elim Final against Carlton where Eddie and Garlett destroyed us.

Now all hear we hear is small forwards sooking because they can't get a touch against our backline.

Can't help but think this has backfired on the Lions. It's turned into *the* talking point of the weekend. With Cameron already showing mental frailty but approaching the umpires during the game to complain, he'll go into this game fixated on his treatment from Grimes and not the ball.

I back our defence to deal with any umpire bias that may come as a result. It's not like umpire bias is anything new to them.
Let's just hope the stage performers don't take it to a new level against us.

Thankfully every other game is before ours. We should know by ours what the umps are looking for this week. Let's hope we can all say the same thing as every other year, "why can't they umpire the H&A like they do the finals".

"I didn't test him out that much in terms of using my pace and trying to take him to dangerous areas," Cameron said.
"I played into his hands all day.
"I was getting frustrated that I was getting held and I can't focus on that, I've got to focus on playing footy.
"If you get held onto, you've got to try and fight through it.
"I took a lot of learnings from that and looking forward to matching up with him next week."
......
When asked further about being held on to in their MCG match-up, Cameron simply said that's what good defenders did.
"That's the respect he has for me.
"He knows I'm a dangerous player and he probably doesn't want to go toe-to-toe with speed, so he's got to do other stuff to stop me from running and creating that space.
"I've got to find different ways to work around that. I'll watch the vision and see how we go."

F me. Now Cameron is whinging to the media. it sounds like he was surprised Grimes didnt want him to be able to run towards the goals without a defender in front of him.

my main concern this week isnt that Grimes will get frees against, its that other lions forwards will block and hold him all night unpunished. they will clearly target him. i expect some pushing before the opening bounce.

Just get Nank to run through the whinger in the 1st quarter, he can't kick goals when he's sitting on the pine with his tracksuit on & a blanket over his legs.

Pathetic effort by him & his club imo.

Bring Townsend in with the one intent to tackle him hard each time he gets the ball. By the end of the first 10 mins he will be begging to come off and wont want to go near the ball.

The media are going with Brisbane hasn’t lost a home final, how about our record against them? Period

It’s beyond ridiculous!! That was a different era altogether.
It was almost 2 decades ago FFS.
The media are pathetic.

Maybe I’m saying this as a born and bred Tiger, and I’ll look silly on Saturday night, but seeing Fagan on last night’s 360, he looked scared. They are shitting themselves over this game.

Are they talking about the time they last played in a final...…………………………………..in 2009?!!!!!!
Are they mentioning that coincidentally that was the last year that the lions beat Richmond, losing 13 consecutive games to us up to now?
Are they mentioning that Richmond hasn't lost at the Gabba since 2004 , winning our last 8 games there against them?!!!!
I guess selective amnesia is rife in the media.
Not saying we will definitely win but it's weird how we are the favourites to win up there, as well as being flag favourites, but the media is pumping up the lions

At the end of the day, we are part to blame too.
We won 9 in a row and in about 5 of those wins we should've won by more, stkilda Collingwood port GWS and even carlton
Instead of chasing 63pts we should've/couldve been on par with Brisbane's percentage.
And this weeks game wouldve been back on the G.
Then lets see how good Brisbane are.

*Its a guarantee the umpires will bend us over.
