Welcome to the Tigers Nathan Broad

He is not an AFL player. 2 touches in a whole game and fumbly under pressure. Carried by the rest of the backline every week

He doesn’t need to touch it. He is a STOPPER.
and he did stop a very average and overhyped footballer in hipwood. Aka Josh Schahe part 2

Broad is an integral part of our back 6 and anyone NOT seeing this doesn't know Sunday from Monday.

Broad is a very important part of our backline and our team imo. There is no way he will get dropped or should be dropped imo.

So in summary the general consensus on Broady’s game last night is that it was sensational and shyte and about average.

Rarely seen such conflicting opinions about a players game. Vote worthy or shocking?

Except that he beat his man, went in hard, and negated well. What game were you watching?
Must have been a different one. Defenders rarely play on one guy a whole game, will have to watch a replay. Every time I noticed him he was either getting beaten or fumbling it. I generally like Broad and we have no one to replace him but no way would he have been in my best dozen tigers on the night let alone in the votes.

Totally agree with this statement. He is solid and does the team role, that's what the coaches want. That's why they click with each other.

Brilliant Broad game.

With Grimes on Cameron, we didn't have enough talls playing on talls in the backline.

That Broad, at 192cms, kept Hipwood (202 cms) goalless was remarkable.

And, he kills a lot of contests, and creates stoppages, allows everyone to regroup.

You've driven the nail straight through to the other side of the two-be-four, wowser. Broad is a master of exactly that, denies a break on the wing, gets it out of bounds, reset. Picks up a dangerous ball next to the point post, disguises his dive over the boundary as he's getting tackled. *Fumbles* the ball in hot congestion. Ball up. Percentage player.

Most on here get carried away with a good win and ignore the obvious weak links in our team.

Did his job did Broad as a role player. Was given a task and executed successfully. He's never going to be a great playmaker with the ball. Remember the Tigers motto, work with their strengths. Interesting stat you probably don't see too often, 2 disposals 2 bounces for the game.

I think most are well aware of the weak links. But unless you have stronger proven links to replace the weaker link then why point this out?

How many touches did Hipwood get last night?

That alone should tell you how Broad played.

Hipwood had his 2nd least disposals in a game this year (7). The only time he had less (5) he kicked 1 goal 1 behind. His scoring sheet was blank last night despite Brisbane having 25 scoring shots. Yep Broad did his job.

Did his job and no team is full of stars, but his panic moments stand out in such a composed side. His tendency to clumsily score a try over the boundary line drives me mental. He was very very lucky not to be paid deliberate/ HTB in the back pocket. I was amazed at the lack of reaction from the Brisbane fans, if that had happened to us in front of our fans we would have gone mental, they just sat there.

Only criticism I have for Broady is that some of his tackles just don't stick. He's got the beef to be able to do this easily. One last night was disappointing.
