Gold Coast (SE - QLD).
Time to be up and about and in the faces of all the other supporters.

Sorry, bit harsh, but we copped it for 37 years and now we're dishing it back :D

Not really.
I think there has been a lot of class in Cotchin speech, dimmas speech, and if we want to put a team on its arse we do it by hammering in the goals.
After saturdays trouncing I felt the team let their footy do the talking

I was Q deck in southern stand. My feeling re crowd was 70% Tigers 10 % giants and 20% neutral ...probably NOT going for us as someone posted, but had nothing to make noise about. Yeah...amazing how that crowd just sneaks over the 100K line.
There were a bunch of empty seats (~40-50?) all day on the lower deck in the Ponsford...that looked like a ticketek screw-up
Strangely that section always seems to be empty...even in the 2017 prelim...its always had me puzzled and annoyed.

Anyone else suspicious how in two grand finals the attendance is magically 20-odd above 100,000?
They absolutely make this number up. The motivation is for the AFL to say they got over 100k. Just like last year Coll v WC magically squeezed in a few more than Rich V Ade - highly unlikely.

We had the worst seats in the house - nosebleed Q55 - and there were empty seats dotted around everywhere, that were not sat in for the entire day. Sure some people may have gone to standing room, but I reckon more likely a lot of no shows being a GWS game.

It was great to see the entire list run onto the ground at the end wearing their jumpers.

Don't know why they'd make it up. Last 3 years have been over 100K, the previous 2 years was below, and the year before that it was over 100K. Doesn't seem to be a motivational thing to me. Capacity is around 100K and most years it is very close to that as you would expect. 2015 was 98633. It all depends on the MCC take up in the end.

What’s the bet this becomes a “thing” in GFs from here on in.

Loved it.
Was it because we won the Ressies or would the boys have done this regardless?

I think they would have done it anyway. It's another one of our things soon to be copied by every man and his dog.

When you win a flag, you mainly hear about the happy stories. Many PREnders have or will share their Grand Final day story in a thread such as this. Lifetime memories. But this post is about a sad story involving a good friend of mine and the crazy events of last Saturday morning.

My friend (let’s call him Trevor) lives interstate and loves the Tigers. He flies up a few times per year to see games in Melbourne. He flew here last week to watch our Prelim win. And he flew in to Melbourne last Friday in the hope of snagging a GF ticket.

As it turned out, I was able to snag him a ticket through a prominent member of PRE (I’m not sure if that PRE member wants to be named, so I will not mention him at this stage, but he was very understanding of the whole situation. He was great and I think him profusely).

So anyway, after the parade on Friday, Trevor, myself and another Tiger mate (let’s call him Sam) agreed to spend the whole weekend at Sam’s house so we could celebrate together. We ended up watching a replay of the 2017 GF on Friday night before getting some rest for the big day.

At 2am on Grand Final day, Sam woke me up and said something had happened to Trevor. He found him lying on the steps that led down to the garage. Trevor was screaming in agony. It turned out that he went looking for the toilet, but being in an unfamiliar house he took a wrong turn and slipped down the stairs. We called the ambulance and was taken to hospital.

After tests and X-Rays, it turned out Trevor had broken his hip and required surgery. The surgery was performed on Saturday afternoon. So not only did he miss going to the game, but wasn’t even able to watch it.

Mind you, this is the same guy who broke his neck in another freak accident early last year (which he recovered well from). Trevor wasn’t able to get a ticket for the 2017 GF. He bought a corporate ticket for the 2018 GF only for us to lose in the Prelim. So he feels like the footy gods aren’t on his side.
