x2. Brando has a history of crapping himself in contests which we don't need in a final
Unfortunately Connor has a track record of crapping himself in contests during the H&A season! Not writing him off, but doubt he'd come in for an established albeit very flawed player at this stage. Unless Brando craps the sheets in the PF.

Menadue was always a project player. Is a massive upgrade of he can make the step to senior level.

Definitely worth another year in my opinion.

Marcov's recent form has worried me though when he hits a patch as a lead up forward, he looks dynamic. I Sotheby mind this shitty in the senior side. Super quick to apply pressure, and shorter quick lead. A lead up forward like that also creates movement in the forward half. He hasn't got bar as much of it as I think he is capable of the last few weeks. In fairness, he has had an injury interrupted season. Even Jack Ross hasn't returned to pre injury form yet.

Menedue just needs to get some more confidence in himself. I remember Dan Jackson really struggled for years and then it all came together. Connor has looked above VFL recently, hopefully next year he can translate that into next year.

Is this a prediction or a wish Leon?
A wish, Antman, don't know anything Menadue has performed really well at VFL level most of the season and when he got a chance at AFL level, I actually thought he went alright and should have been persevered with. He stands up under pressure better now, is tougher, very evasive and an excellent kick. He's become a game-changer, a match-winner at VFL level who can really weave his way through traffic and find the goals. And really fast. He runs as well as Ellis but has more speed, can really break the lines. He's going so well that if he's selected, it could cost us the VFL flag, his impact is so important.

We cannot play BEllis after that embarrassing effort in Brisbane IMO. See Yandb's posts. I agree with his comments.

Fremantle are interested in Menadue.
We haven't offered him a contract.

Good luck Connor.

If Conor can get his VFL gameday mindset to translate consistently into an AFL gameday mindset it would be great but so far with the exception of one game this year that hasn't happened so I wonder if it ever will

I'd be disappointed to see him go for no return. We've done all the hard yards with his development and another team will reap the benefit. He has the rare combination of skill and pace and his defense is better than Naish and Turner who are still developing. I thought he'd be a ready made replacement for Ellis on the wing which I reckon is his best position.

That wing spot could now go to any one of Balta, Pickett, Stack, Butler, Naish, RCD, even Short/Houli when Rance comes back into defence. Could see Menadue playing a lot of VFL next season again

We don't need nor will we miss Menadue.

He's had 5 years and even with Ellis leaving and possibly Butler also going he still has plenty ahead of him for a game.

Move him on if it helps us.

Been dropped in his career something like 12 or 13 times. Had plenty of opportunities I just can't see him taking the required step to AFL level in our game plan. May have more opportunities to do so at another club.

We are going to lose at least 3 of Ellis, Menadue, Markov, Butler and McIntosh imo. 2018 revisited.

Not necessarily out choice with Macca but there are whispers about.

Price of success

Send Grover and Menadue to Freo for Blakely or Pearce.

Get Pearce up and going and we have an instant KPD replacement for Rance or Dave.

Menadue I'm OK to lose, I just can't see him stepping up to AFL level consistently enough. Whilst possessions aren't everything, I just don't see him as a winger who can regularly get 20+ and have a mix of 3-4 rebound 50 and inside 50.

I'm hoping we don't lose McIntosh. I think he comes back into our 22 and replaces Ellis, with our younger brigade trying to take his place.
However, if we did lose him and Menadue, I'd be looking for Cerra or Blakely in return.
