Melbourne's best run during the 1950's was 46-4. Also went 41-8-1 in the 1920's.

Essendon (late 90's/early 2000's) went 41-9.

Hawthorn's best starting in 2012 was 40-10, Collingwood starting in 2009 went 39-9-2.

Richmond in the 1960's went 39-10-1.

In Round 4 last year, Richmond kept Brisbane to 2.5(17).
To find the next most recent score of 25 or lower against Richmond (in any game), you have to go back to Round 15, 1964 when Fitzroy kicked 2.9(21).
Fitzroy didn't win a game that year and I think it might have been the last time that happened.

I'll take the results in finals any day. Away stats will start to alter if the AFL, having seen the light (lost revenue!), no longer make us go down there.

Just a few that I've seen on other sites and articles.
We came from equal lowest position on the ladder during the season (14th) to win a flag.
Cotch is only the fourth player in Richmond's history to captain us to 2 flags.
Cotch is also only the 4th Brownlow medallist in AFL/VFL history to have captained at least 2 premiership teams.

My favourite for the season though is ………………………….Carlton and north still have the longest grand final droughts :))
