Was just reading the article and feel the same
Also what about Lambert?
And McIntosh was/is a winger not a midfielder in the sense of the others
Goddard is a prize twat

That said - my take on the article is not to argue with anyone (especially Collingwood supporters) and agree with them. Yep - your midfield is so much better than ours.

Yep I thought about Lambert as well. He obviously doesn't watch many Tiger games. Maybe he missed the whole finals series.

McIntosh was not even selected in the team since about mid-year. But, let them keep missing the abilities of Sheds and Lambo. The longer the media fail to appreciate the quality and depth of our midfield, the better. Did they notice what happened to the much-vaunted Pies midfield when we last played them, or GWS in the GF?
Although, I doubt the better opposition coaching teams are that ignorant. Goddard's head is on the golf-course; just getting some easy $$ from the dumb media.

Apparently GWS, West Coast and Collingwood all have better. But then again he doesn't include Edwards and Lambert in our midfield.

Any wonder these so called experts can't figure out how we play.... when they don't even know who's in the team?

Edwards was listed in the backline in today's article. Lambert will no doubt be in with the forwards.

I didn't mind the Goddard assessments and reckon they're more accurate than Buckenara's. What struck me looking down the lists of the respective midfields and backlines is how little there is between each team, and how many clubs could shift up several places on a good day, or down several places if one of the pieces was missing.

To Goddard's credit, he clearly sees upside in KMac's VFL GF performance of ~10 possessions off a wing to be able to step up into the fourth best midfield in the league....

Perhaps a future role of talent spotter for the oracle of tullamarine.

EDIT:
Whoops, forgot KMAc didn't play in the GF. But he did get 8 possessions in the Prelim Final (listed as Back Pocket).

Yep, and going by The Hun's words, exactly how does Chokingwood have the 'star-studded' best?

Just another journo's opinion that should be ignored or taken as irrelevant as most of their outpourings are. We know better because we watch games avidly

Start of 2019 they had the best midfield ever assembled according to certain twats in the media.

They just ripped the opposition apart each game

There was an interview with Edwards after a game and not surprising that he gestures alot with his hands... I couldn’t follow him.

He's become the glue that holds the team together and makes several plays a game that an average player couldn't. I imagine he'd be quite taggable, but the opposition never seems to bother. Maybe his numbers aren't deemed important enough.

I dont reckon a Kraken could stop Sheds opening out The G with his hand ball.

GWS's midflield looked like Wandin Valley's in the grand final. Even if we were the 4 the best midfield , we can rest easy knowing we have the best forward & back lines.

When you look at the defensive write up and you see Geelong and Collingwood listed in the top 4, you realise just how far ahead we are in this part of the field.

Rance, Grimes, Vlasstuin, Houli.... 3 All Australians and one who should have been.

Astbury massively under rated as is Broad, partly because of how much flexibility he gives us.

Geelongs main stay is the guy who looks like Frankenstein and faces the opposite direction every time the ball enters their defensive zone.

Collingwood, who have a stack of average performers, and then when one goes down with injury, everybody over rates the loss, not taking into consideration that the player in replacing them is at about the same average level.
