Still remember the early days when Rance didn’t seem to have smarts and he was often caught completely unawares of some bloke about to nail him.
But he grew out of that and went on to become a champ.

So do I. What was it Dimma called them? Alex Rance moments. My hope is Balta can learn. Be great to see him coming out of the backline and unloading with a big bomb.

Rance wasn't always the superstar he turned into. For a while there whenever he got the ball in was heart in the mouth stuff. They actually are quite simular when you compare their early few years

I hope they give Choi a crack at a key defender role. He has good hands and has great athleticism. Lacks some upper body strength but I hope they consider him.

As well as the lack of some upper body strength, Chol lacks the three most important things for a key defender, desperation, the ability to make multiple efforts, and also a bit dodgy reading the play.

Chol not a defender for mine. We don't need a direct replacement as Rance wasn't in the premiership 22 anyway. It's depth we need, someone to step up when needed. Garthwaite and Balta are the two existing options for mine but really think we need to use the SSP to source another solid key defender (I noted Beasley in the Rance thread but I'm sure there are others around).

Chol could play on the tall lumbering forwards , like bris sec and third stringers , no problem

Sam Taylor will be a beauty , He would be a perfect replacement but is still contracted

Dyson Hilder would be a player worth having a look at similar to Stack type train with option to have a look/see
