I saw a quote about “former AFL player Seb Guilhaus”. I thought, geez, never heard that name before.

Turns out He played in the SANFL and the NTFL......

Aussie Rules is known as AFL up here. I didn't start it and pretty sure I cannot change them now. It is what it is.

I know bloody northern heathens
Nah. AFL H.Q. n the media have been pushing everything as AFL not Aussie rules ( even here in Vic. ) for bloody years. Bloody disgraceful how the corporates n manipulators twist n change things to suit their agendas. Same as all the tennis crap pumping up the Grand Slams. There was always four individual Slam tournaments. Aussies, Yanks, Poms n Frogs. To win a Grand Slam was to win all four of the Slam tournaments consecutively, either in the one year or in an overlapping year. There's only a handful of players who have actually achieved a Grand Slam in all the history of the tennis circuit. Now thanks to celebrity media heads n a few other irrelevant pocket pissers each of these four tournaments is somehow a Grand Slam.

I'm heading down to Metricon tomorrow to have a look-see. Interested to see if I get as invested supporting the tiges as I do for the blokes.

My kids are heading on the ground as part of the guard of honour for the girls as they run out. Great engagement by the club to organise this and get fans involved with the girls.

Uselessbourne's girls team is better to watch than those lazy overpaid blokes.

Especially given the conditions, the skills and general team play were very good tonight. Even the doggies side was quite evenly skilled while being outplayed. The differences between the top and bottom 5 on both sides were less pronounced than last Friday.

It might take another 10 or 15 years like cricket but no doubt it will end up a quality comp. Different though.

One word: stupid. That's the umpire not the Footscray player.

DS
Rigid cast iron rule. Not exactly one the umpire could fudge with interpretation. Always an experienced male player or two who get it wrong during a season, so no surprise a Gaelic player would have no understanding of this rule early in.

Gold Coast (SE - QLD).
Nice conditions at Metricon
Feels breezy but a nice in between temp.
not too hot.
According to the kids flags blowing on the ground there’s a big northerly breeze.
(Blowing from north to south).

Gold Coast (SE - QLD).
Qtr time - Scores tied. 2.2 14 each
Intriguing game.
I’ll keep watching the comp if they keep this up. the sides seem even.
The tigers are unlucky they aren’t two goals in front at quarter time.
here’s why
Umpire gave both teams a 50 m and shot at goal
tigers muffed their chance.
suns nailed their opportunity.
