Watched most of the Lance Armstrong doco. He came across initially as a compulsive liar and extremely unlikeable. And not so bright. But you could almost understand once things got rolling and his cancer foundation was doing so well that keeping up the façade was almost his only choice.

Has he got a touch of Aspergers about him? The show reveals he operated with zero empathy almost all the time.

One thing you cannot deny is the amount of difference his foundation did/has made.

Cool. Was thinking about watching that one. Just finished watching Animal Kingdom. Season 5 isn’t coming out til next year now.

FYI, Sex Education has nothing to do with animals

Always behind the times but I’ve been churning through series of Mad Men on Stan. Love it.

Probably my all time favourite show, just ahead of The Sopranos. Has the same richness and depth. Great combination of history/context, advertising industry stuff including the creative process, and strong characters and story arcs. Fewer mob hits, but plenty of blood on the corporate carpet too. Quality.

What season you up to Timbo?

Yeah, it’s great all round. I usually hate serial tv but this ones got me. Season 5, episode 11.

Finally got around to watching the Leftovers , very good. Being a simpleton some of the themes no doubt went over my head but still enjoyed it immensely , definately nailed the ending.

yeah surprisingly good series that got stronger each season, even the last series set in Australia was great. Usually an American show would *smile* that up terribly.

For those who love Always Sunny In Philadelphia.. the gang have produced Mythic Quest: Raven's Banquet which is about an online WOW type game production house. Great cast and plenty of laughs including Aussie Charlotte Nicdao as the Australian head of engineering, she's great. Watch out for F Murray Abraham as the chief game storyline guy - washed up SF author from the 1970s. On AppleTV or your usual illegal sources..

EDIT Bill beat me to it... 2% doesn't seem like a lot, but it generally screws up everyone left behind. Was it the Rapture? Was it aliens? First season focuses on the police chief and his family in this medium-sized US town dealing with the fallout. It's less about why it happened and more about the human issues around it.

Like Bill says it's pretty full-on. I really liked it and I usually like effed-up stuff.

Ch9 are showing the 1964 Beatles concert at Festival Hall tonight at 9.30. Remastered so it sounds and looks far better than any poor footage that’s been shown over the years.

I tried it a couple of years ago. Too much like hard work.
