The club are responsible for the conduct of players, staff and families in the hub. I can't believe she wasn't briefed about this, so have to put it down to "influencer" thinking. If she wasn't briefed that's also on the club.

If she picks up the virus and brings it into the hub that's season over.

Why is this not treated as Collingwoods 2nd breach? Seems like this is being treated as the 1st breach. Why wasn't the Sidebum / Dunn / Howe incident regarded as breach 1?

Well well well.

Few on here were saying it won’t be time before the Pies stuff up.

No one was expecting their COACH.

Let’s see what the AFL & what big mouth Eddie says...

What an absolute i***t.

Eddie Hypocrite now needs to send Buckley home from Hub :D

yeah but Buck was just being vulnerable and authentic. he loves everybody. he was story telling in a mindful way, playing to his strengths
I am not dirty on Brooke.

me either. she's the power behind the greatest captain in football history. wouldn't be an easy gig. she deserves nice hair.

I'd go further. Ridiculously selfish and ridiculously dumb.

She should apologise to the players and staff for her lack of judgment and potentially bringing the season into jeopardy.
How about an apology to the members? You know those people that keep the club afloat and have paid good money not to see a single game this year.

Not sure about anyone else but I’m just thrilled that a portion of the 3 memberships my family pays for will go to paying a $20k fine to the AFL. All because Brooke Cotchin just had to go to a day spa and then just had to broadcast it via social media so everyone knew that her skin needed some loving

Not sure I’ve ever heard anything as entitled in my life. I wonder if Brooke realises that people in her home town are stuck inside their homes for the foreseeable future, hundreds of people are getting infected with an insidious virus every day, people are dying.

Get some perspective woman.

Yeah. The "influencer" lifestyle is detestable.
Could not agree more mate. I can’t stand it, vacuous and vain people earning big money and contribute virtually nothing to society. It’s up there with reality TV rubbish like Married at First Sight and The Bachelor.

It is *smile* pathetic.

Unless I've missed it I'm actually amazed and shocked that the club has not responded to the fine - very strange

Same here. It is certainly disappointing given how many members have "stuck fat" to then see money being pissed away.

Are you serious?
They have just given you 2 flags and 3 outstanding seasons
And your worried about your membership.
How do you know they actually going to pay it?
Who gives a dhit about the fine?

agree with that. It was bad that she broke the hub, but to be fair - their is no rules really up here regarding what you can or cant do, there is stuff all self distancing etc. Everyone is just doing what they want & coming from Melbourne, it would have been very appealing, especially with the sun out etc. Its a big commitment from the players and the families to relocate up here and basically be locked in. She definitely shouldnt have done it, but lets hope its a one-off. Without knowing all the technical side of the hub up here, perhaps the AFL hasn't given the families enough distraction & love to make it easier. Pretty much half the melbourne clubs now have copped a fine of somesort.

I am serious. I am not referring to my own circumstances (as much as you have played the man in your post here). Other members are understandably struggling at the moment financially and are absolutely entitled to at least a statement from the club.

I paid over 600 bucks for our family memberships and that's not including the $500+ i spent on club 2020 merchandise.
I don't give a shiit about the fine.
How do you know they are using membership money to pay the fine?
Money could be taken from sponsor's.
The AFL is playing tough guys but 8 reckon the fines are *smile*.
The club hasn't even commented on it.
