Bit of basic info on Baxter. Very talented cricketer who only last season decided to concentrate on footy, don’t quote me on this but I think he was 193 at 16 but didn’t grow the next year, very good athlete but not quick , lightly framed , played mainly down back Until 2019 where he was tried forward, Thai mother and a good quality kid. I think I’ve got the right kid , others might be able to ad more ?

Bit to like there with Ford. The blueprint is there isn‘t it? Want to see his testing results. I get nervous around medium forwards spooky. Lennon scared me.
Ford looks to be more athletic and has better speed than Lennon who had no pace or leap and agility was not great either
I like the look of the kid but projects to me as more outside/inside mid than a kpf

A bit of Fyfe about him

I’ve said this before an though it’s against popular opinion , I’d take a punt on Paddy McCartin , like the idea of him having a season working his way back slowly in the VFL and then been ready to go the next season if a Jack doesn’t go on

Only one year older than Chol, McCartin has much bigger upside and a greater return if he can get his mind and body right
Definitely, I’d be more then happy to let Chol go to give McCartin a chance , he is genuinely tough and would suit our chaotic forward half style well imho

Disagree old boy. McCartin is done and dusted IMO.

Pretty shortsighted idea considering the” issues poor kid has had with concussion . Hope it turns out ok , not sure we need to be taking Punt on him

Even with his history I have more faith in him delivering in a September then Chol, luckily I don’t have any say on list management

Anyone got any info on Will Phillips?

Gun.

Highly professional and very driven.

Does all the little things off field, has moments on the field where he completely takes over games and did this as a bottom ager. Accelerates out of a pack really well. Uses the ball well.

Most likely wont be available at our pick though.

Thanks.
Ive heard that we are really keen on this kid.
Would a trade of Broad or Cj be enough to get a pick around the mark? 8-13??

Will is an interesting one, I think if there was a NAB League this year that he'd potentially slide a little bit based off being around for a while playing u18's (played as an under-ager). As theyd be going of exposed form, Id imagine he'd go fairly high, so that range of 8-13 is definitely possible.

I think this year will be much more of a lottery than previous drafts as the exposed form will be so limited for Vic based players. I think youll find more busts than usual, more late draft pick successes, and more players who get drafted in a few years as mature aged players based off missing this year and needed to catch up on their development.

Looking at the players I know, there is definitely a lot of depth there, some real value can be found after the first round. One player I really like is Conor Stone from Oakleigh, very quick off the mark, kicks goals, breaks lines. Can play forward or much higher up the ground.
