Had a watch of the five minute fireman's "Round so far" thing he does every week on the site that shall not be named.
He looked like he was constantly being asked to take bites out of a lemon.

On the footy show he just said that deliberate oob against Hartlett was an incorrect decision that cost Port the game. Said there were two port players in the immediate vicinity.

He basically thought port would be too physical for us and the port crowd would intimidate us , it was basic stuff that was incorrect in the end , neither happened

It’s time for Cornes and all the other media knobs to admit that the whole Richmond can’t win away from Victoria thing was a myth created by a statistical anomaly in 2018.

Isn’t that the interpretation now ? That in itself is a can of worms .
It was clearly the rule of the game, but it went both ways. If Port were too stupid to work out how the game was being umpired that’s their problem.
He said the same on the Round So Far, yet Cleary disagreed. Most that disagree with that decision play or who have played for Port or didn't watch the game.
With the way the game was going for deliberates, there was only 1 way that was going to be paid and that was deliberate. In another game, possibly isn't paid, but looking at consistency it was the only way it could be paid bearing in mind that they had paid deliberates against Prestia and Bolton that were way harsher than the one against Hartlett.
