Bullarto on hearing Cotch on Game Day , he said similar about coming back to work after a short break and get back to business .

The great Leigh Matthews was actually impressed by Cotchin's response that he asked him straight back , no break, and Cotch replied , well a few weeks then back to it.

The skipper wants more and upon hearing Dimma & then Balme its on the cards to aim that high again.

Only complacency can stop this group.

There is still another on the table.

Isn't it great hearing this sort of stuff. Really like that the players, coaches and the Club don't want to sit back and rest on their laurels. They seem driven to enjoy the journey that being successful can create. And the fact is, they realise that it is in their collective hands and no one else's.
On the last Saturday in September 2020 no one (except us) is going to give a hoot about Richmond's victory in 2019.
Only Richmond will care and that will pretty much also be reliant on us being there in September next year going B2B.

100 years since our very first premiership - anniversaries don't get much bigger than that.

Let's do it, B2B.

What a ride.

There was 6 changes between 2017 and 2019. To go back to back will mean somewhere between 4 to 6 changes next year

Big list of possible inns. Eg Rance, Stack, Ross, Graham, Balta, RCD, Markov etc

The outs less obvious. Injuries will occur and Ellis looks gone

Match committee will be busy next year trying to find the right balance, give opportunities to younger players manage some of the older players and have the team firing at the end of the year.

Definitely didn’t want a repeat of 2018 when the younger players didn’t get much of a go and we forced ourselves into playing half fit players

Yep, selection is going to be remarkably tough next season.
You would imagine they would be hoping to get games in to the likes of Graham, Ross, Balta, Stack, Pickett, maybe even Coleman Jones.
Broad may get pushed out with the return of Rance. Nank or Soldo won’t want to have form slumps with CCJ waiting in the wings. Stack could cover Short.
Balta may take Ellis’s wing.
Intriguing and exciting times ahead.
Bring on 2020.

I think structurally we are in a stronger position now to go back to back.

We now have two legitimate rucks with a future star developing nicely.

We also have two dominant key forwards who compliment each other perfectly.

The defense is the best in the league, with rance to come back.

And we have Dusty.

The club is in a strong place. Strong off field and on.

All that remains is the kindness of the footy gods. Thankfully we have Bachar for that...

The key thing that I loved from yesterday's game, they never let up till the end. They were enjoying it. That hunger of ruthless attack I enjoyed watching when I was young. They also played as a united team full of support of each other. Woah factor.

So damn happy to have that happy fuzzy feeling again. Its different to 17. That media/tv hatred by all the flogs only reinforced my view that RFC have built something very special. Any indirect(by suggestion) or direct negativity was like water of the duck's back.

To those flogs you can all GAGF ! The sleeping giant is awake and dancing in the streets. Suk it up !

The fact Bundy that ive hearing a lot throughout the later half of the year , also on GF day, more so on radio...

Is why cant other teams copy what the RFC do?

Best response ive heard today was from i think Gary on SEN ...cause you need FULL BUY IN TO OUR SYSTEM, NOT A FEW......

Thats it.

Teams can try to copy but they will not succeed.

Agree. had similar thoughts after the Cats game. As mentioned in another thread the betting markets are nervous even on a 3 peat ! I placed bets for B2b & 3Peat.

Just imagine the Tiges can emulate what the MFC achieved from 1955 to 1964 or the HFC in the 1983 to 1991 constantly in GFs
I too truly believe with such a tight knit young group we are seeing the start of a successful dynasty
Gotta be careful with the word 'dynasty'. In this century, only Brisbane, Hawthorn and Geelong became powerful teams, but won flags in a short period. A real dynasty is what you just posted. The Hawks between 1983 - 1991 won 5 flags in 8 grand finals in a 9 year period. That is a dynasty!!

There are a few outs: Grigg (but he’s been replaced by Pickett), Weller, Butler will probably go and I wouldn’t be surprised to see Townsend become like Morris, a VFL only player, but yeah competition is tough. Reminds me of the great Hawks sides of the 80s and how guys played a lot of 2s footy before making it in the seniors.

Think we’ve got our routine and timing right in 2019, just like 2017.
2018 we exploded out of the box and fade season end.
This time we built up to it and hit our best season end.
I’m expecting we’ll be doing the same in 2020.

True TF, but cant be bothered anymore being careful what others might think TBH anymore ( I had a gut full this week when I struggled to hear anything positive (apart from M Pickett) about my team leading into the GF when versing a 10K supported team from interstate from Melbourne radios. A damn joke.

Dont care its my view. To me it has a feel to it what they are building something towards this. Sustained success, thus why I noted MFC & HFC only. Got 2 GF out of 2 entries. (1 PF loss last year in between). Youthful team and hunger from those wanting to stick around and get in the team. back when HFC nailed it, they had a core group that was a constant with constant injection of stars. I believe we are building on that model and we are a destination club too.

Within the group their will be attrition. From 2017GF, Grigg gone. it appears Kmac & Butler might go. Also Brando might leave but we have the depth to cover them.

Hope Im right but not concerned to be wrong.

Agree about the media. Let's just keep proving them wrong. We can somehow call this win a '3-peat with a hiccup'. :))

Is there anywhere we can purchase the Mark Knight HS Premiership poster today? Coles? Woollies?
