Tis a thing of beauty! :))
Like a Tiger Shark or Great White just trails in not alarming too many then when least expected he STRIKES ............................bang.

Amazing watched it a few times he just reads it and trails straight to where he knows he will be best placed, straight toward Dangerflop.

Rhys Stanley luckily for him that wasn't the dropped mark that lost them the GF it just sealed it.

I will never forget Dusty’s first goal in this GF. One arm to take the ball, one arm to fend off the backline, one leg to kick and one leg to keep his balance.

He has the greatest and most thrilling highlight reel of any player in any sport.

I don’t understand why they didn’t go with the Mathew Lloyd’s tactic. Just yell who is going to go onto Martin really loudly to make sure everyone is clear who was playing on him.
game over

All the radio calls were brilliant when it came to the 4th goal. As much as JB annoys me, his simple "oh *smile* off" (that starts with a p) comment really summed it up.

As soon as it left his boot my Mrs said "That's a goal" even before it went through the big sticks.
Watch the replay in slow motion. You see a few tigs fans in the background on their feet, arms in a raised ‘v’ as soon as he’s gotten rid of Dangerfield and is dropping the ball to his boot (it hasn’t even left his boot yet) as if they know it’s as good as slotted already.

Nobody does it better.
Makes me feel sad for the rest.
Nobody does it half as good as you.
Baby you're the best.

In terms of Dusty's greatness. Who has dominated 3 finals series like Dusty has? Not just dominated but won games so emphatically and bossed every game. Every game.

I recall hazily Gary Ablett Snr in that amazing finals series and kicking 9 in a losing GF. But it was one series.

Darren Jarman had some special finals moments but nothing in the same league.

Ayres, Hodge and McLeod have two NS's, but not one of them came close to his dominating feats.

Anyone know what Lethal's actual records were in finals?

Kevin Bartlett? I vaguely know he dominated the 1980 finals series. Is he comparable?

Also need to keep him mind in the 90's and before you had full-forwards who kicked 100+ goals, and there was more room for individual goal-kicking brilliance.

I feel so bloody lucky to have experienced Dusty for over 10 years now, we really have been blessed.

Both Matthews and Bartlett were gun players in finals. Dusty is in their class. Brereton was a damn good finals player as well and so were Gary Ayres and Royce Hart. Billy Barrot too.

Carlton had some beauties in the sixties and seventies as well. Jezza, John Nicholls even Robert Walls.

Matthews, Bartlett and Dusty are higher than the others.

Jezza was pretty damned good and would go close.

I reckon if we could see footage the Coventrys would be up there too in the Machine years.

How many years of peak Dust left?
I'll say.... 3.
Dusty has been proven to be super durable to date. Should he continue to remain injury free and I suspect he will be played more permanent forward especially when Jack retires it will extend his career more so than as a mid/fwd, should he want to continue to play well into his 30s
