Reported that Higgins missing two grand finals has spurred him on to do better.

What I don’t understand is why he needed to go to another club to do it.

Higgins looks like a dodgy English used car salesman from the 70s with that moustache

Smacks of *smile* and sour grapes a bit. He should have taken a leaf out of Kamdyn MacIntosh or Jack Graham's book, and fought his way back at Richmond, this is just taking the easy way. Think he's realised he's not all that good, gone the soft option. I don't think he makes the Saints better by being there, and his leaving makes Richmond stronger.

Possibly also reflects someone who has literally put all their eggs in the AFL footballer basket - there is maybe a bit of financial security attached to it - one year at Tiges v 3 at the saints at a time when he has reasonable bargaining power with the saints being a richmond contracted player

Based on the article in the Herald Sun, it doesn't sound like Dimma was too fussed by Jack's decision. Says a bit imo.

Think he's made the right choice.
He'll be a 200 game player for the Saints.
If he stayed he'd be lucky to make it to 50 with us.

Exactly! I have a feeling st kilda will be lower next year. They will now have to play the top teams twice next year, could be a bit too much for them (inter state, MCG,).

Good luck to the kid.

Looked really happy in the clip I saw on Ch 7. Kept showing him as a young St Kilda supporter.
Spoke about his time as a work experience Yr 10 student.
Spoke about missing two GF with the Tigers and hopes he can live out that dream with St Kilda.

He was unavailable for last year's GF and this year was unavailable for the first three finals which practically ruled him out again. The only thing he could be upset with the club about was getting dropped after his 6-possession game against Freo. Interestingly he replaced Caddy in the team, then Caddy came back in for Higgins and both ended up on the sidelines at the business end.

A perfunctory "thanks to Richmond for giving me a start" and supporters are left with donuts after the emotional investment in his development and health struggles. Hope he remains healthy but I can't wish him success with his footy. It doesn't work like that.
