Could be
But the other side of it is where players who are in the midst of a successful team era might elect to sacrifice some of their market potential for the prospect of premierships.

yeah thats what I meant. might be worth 700 on the open market, but play for RFC for 550.

Two Premierships already in the bag at 21.
Has enormous talent & still on an upward trajectory but would love to see him take another step & become a bonafide star of the competition in 2021. If he can then our future looks very bright indeed..

what will we realistically have to pay $hai and Notorious on their next deals (end of 21?) ?

I reckon Ralph rates premierships worth a hundred, hundred and fifty grand a year?

550?

what was the offer? Eddie promises not to wear the white hood, we'll pay you only slightly less than mason cox, and we wont use pencil on the contract?

I hope our Ralph lost a bit of his milkshake out his nose at the meeting.

Just finished a month of 'punching on' with Telstra over a discounted Kayo subscription and lastnight I reactivated it and found an interview with Benny Gale on Fox, a couple of hours prior to the GF.

Was asked the obligatory Dustin questions and his footnote was that Ralph Carr, though seen as a different kind of operator, has done a wonderful job of steering Dustin in his life to date.

Maybe old Ralphy is a better judge of talent than we credit him with.... (Mabs might be on the books due to his Shai connection?)

Hopefully he'll also continue to guide Shai towards greatness. Never thought I'd have myself thinking. ...

In Ralph We Trust!

I never got the angst that some supporters have with Ralph, he is a different cat but without him I am not so certain we would still have Dusty

Tigers have no stars other than Dusty say deluded salties*...

Shai at Collingwood or Tulla would be hailed a superstar. His age profile will have him get better and more consistent. Players who belong to multiple flag winning sides have earned a confidence that is rare to own.

Will become an outright superstar from here.

Some of the goals from his highlights package are up there with the best ever seen. Gun!

*Appologies. Is my pet hate at the moment. Will be banging on about this.

Can they at least start with pronouncing his name correctly? FFS.

Shai not making the Under-22 side while Andrew McGrath was elected captain seriously undermines the wisdom of crowds theory.

He shouldve made the AA team.
Short was stiff to lose out to that dud from port.

theres a heap of blokes with a very rudimentary grasp of the game who graft out a career in the AFL industry.

This is every bit as embarrassingly dumb as leaving Dusty out of the AA

if we can get Shai to pair up with Stack during their break in building their fitness over the holiday, it would be sensational!

I reckon the new ‘lateral movement’ rule gives Shai a licence to kill.

The shake’n’bake he put on Greg Bryan to then put it down Tom’s throat - on the goal line ....- was a taste of what is to come.

I’m tipping #29 is going to hit the scoreboard big time in 21.
The goals against St.Kilda were a prelude.
Shai’s goal lust

Somehow found myself walking with Ralph over to the G for the first game of the season in 2011.
He was filthy that Carlton traded him , and said “ You’ve got yourselves a really good footballer there with his best in front of him”.
I wanted to believe him it’s just that, well.....Ralph.

He was however right.

We can't blame the "experts" for this one. The team was voted for by the public.

Yeah, that play to set up Lynch was a thing of beauty.

Crying Miers thought he had him for a sec, then Shai found a worm hole and slipped into another dimension.

No issue with McGrath, but Bolton had the most coaches' & Brownlow votes of anyone in the 40-man squad and was 4th in the b&f for the premiers. He was a no-brainer.

Jeez, ya don't wanna harp on the media do ya, but I reckon if $hai was at the Cattery or WC or God forbid Ess, they would be having coniptions. The praise for $hai has been there but not OTT. Probably good thing.
