Didn't make the best u22 team..:rotfl2
Who was trying to tell me the pundits have changed their way and giving us credit for having stars?

kids is easily one of the best in the comp. Has stood up in a GF and talent to burn.

Outright disgrace to not be recognised. Who ever joked up that list should be sacked!

This kid is a gun.
Priority number 1 next year is his signature.
Before Fremantle offer him the captaincy and Fyfe's Truck company...

It is very amusing that you could make an argument that he is better than all 22 players selected in the Under 22 team. Not just two or three, all of them!

The selectors must be Dumb and Dumber.

Needs stints in the centre square. He’s not a winger, in our system, they are the NFL equivalents of free safeties, they guard dangerous space, defensive predators who deliver hits. Shai can’t run like that and doesn’t have the size.
If you ask me, he swaps with Dusty. Plays forward of centre always. And still has a stack of improvement.

Should be mostly starting midfield and swapping into the forward line with Dusty. These two are obviously different players but are likely our best performed next season.

Edwards, Graham Prestia and possibly Ross, CD and Ralphsmith will also compete as starting mids.
Maybe Cotch in the manner of many previous greats, will spend late career time in defence.

Bolton is a perfect example of the sort of thing we used to always complain about with other clubs which is finding gems without using high picks.
He could have gone the way of a lot of other talented kids and never become the player he could be but we have such a great development program and culture now.
There used to be complaints about him being a selfish player but no more. Out of all the super highlights of Shai the one I love the most is when he took the hit and knocked the ball on in the 2019 grand final. No stat just total team ethos.

This is hard to argue against.

Bolton at another level next year with fit, focussed and firing Stack and Rioli is a very exciting prospect.

Throw in a fit Marlion off a full Preseason and Shane and Jnr arriving its gonna be delicious.

So true, I remember lamenting how we could never develop players and other teams could, tables turned now.

With Shai the one I most remember is him taking a speccy in the 2019 QF, not only did he not bask in the glory of such a great mark, he was immediately looking for options and quickly kicked to Lynch on the lead for a certain goal. Great maturity and team attitude right there. Throw in some of his magical evasive skills and we just have to sign this guy up before his contract ends.

I was always quietly confident that Shai was going to make it, after the first quarter of the 2017 VFL Grand Final I was certain.

Crack open one of Grimesy's wines and put the feet up, it only goes for 12 minutes, enjoy.

Probably only the first couple of minutes worth watching though.

Remember saying the same.
Build the tank and he would be involved in games longer.
Should have won that GF.

That's power drinking there Tigerman.

12 minutes a bottle and you didn't say you shared either!

Bernie being the responsible guzzler of alcohol that I am, I was talking about the little 187ml bottles. They're fantastic, I find they are a very good substitute for milk on my Weeties.
Sorry for the confusion hangover.

No player can expect to hold forever Shai's form of the past two years. If he eats only deep-fried breaded mac, transfat and yellowcake then walks in front of a Custodian brand lobotimiser he may find himself back in the AFL best U22.

Pitfalls and disgrace.

But I'm thinking Shai is too talented to wind up there.
