Several wasted football talents for the RFC come to my mind, but in particular Relton Roberts, an indigenous player from a remote community in the NT. He had great pace and skill and for a very brief time he looked like he could go on to become a star. Unfortunately he, apparently, struggled to adapt to life in the big smoke of Melbourne. Sadly, his time to shine was all too brief and before he could really get settled and established at the RFC, he was gone forever and lost to the AFL.

Doesn't matter to me which way that you interpret it. This forum is primarily about humble opinions/thoughts/recollections. Sadly Relton put his career at the RFC in jeopardy by getting caught eating a hamburger less than 1.5 hours before a VFL game. I was at that game and as I recall he still played a decent game despite the hamburger in his stomach.

I thought relton was from Euroa or the GV league

Troy Taylor was the the player that i was the most upset at going off the rails demanding a house in Richmond
Kid could have been Adam Goodes level if he stuck at it and had a brain

Have some first person account of Troy Taylor. Should never have been in the draft, should never have been drafted. Never had a hope to be a professional athlete.

But he was a bloody good footballer , I seen him live and had the ball on a string and just came so easy to him

Pretty sure he was rated a top five top ten talent but we got him in the fifties due to him having a fair few issues as a youngster. Clubs can't do much more than give blokes an opportunity and try to guide them along the way. Some players will take to it n some won't.

Agree , super talent, many rated him talent wise a top 10 in the draft . Worst attitude of any new draftee I’ve ever spoken with .

My only thought on the Sydney stack situation is that you would reckon the footy media would be all over it if there was something sinister going on. All they would have to do is read this thread and make some enquires.
Nothing in the media at all so far
