Its a novelty that has already seen its best days behind it. Crowds are down over 25% this season so far. And will probably slide even further considering the extended season.
I was wondering about crowds for the BBL and how they were going for this season. TBH I’m not surprised they’re down. I have several theories: too many games, too many players we’ve never heard of (and not enough we have heard of!) and dull games.

Test cricket went too long so they brought in the 50 over game.
The fifty over game seems to go for too long now for the youth of today so they brought in Twenty20.
Now that seems to be waning and goes too long so I see there is a Ten10 competition that was going on just recently.
Pretty soon it will just be the captains going out to see who wins a coin toss and that will be all

The one constant through all the nonsense formats that come and go, will be tests. (They may become 4 day tests, but they will still be tests.)

They are they only format that truly means anything.

I live OS and have the Cricket Australia app and I have a logon but have not paid for anything.
This allows me to watch most (not all) Big Bash games. For example, the one on now is not viewable.
Does anyone know what the difference is?

Why people waste time and money on this rubbish I'll never know. It's more boring than watching a training run.

I agree it's junk but it's cricket and I can have it sitting there on the ipad while I also do something more important.

Richmond Tigers and the Melbourne Renegades -Premierships :cupgold:cupgold
The Renegades are more the #lolnorf of the BBL. They Bradburyed the championship a couple of years ago, but have been woeful ever since.

Crap season for the Mighty Renegades :(.. but a least we beat the Stars  woooooo

I was wondering if the Stars even knew what a yorker was last night. Watching them smash Coulter Nile around in that penultimate over. He then thought, yeah I'll try a yorker (not at the feet despite needing a wicket) but out wide to the guy that was 2m tall and not the short guy at the other end.

Cricketers aren't brain surgeons haha.

But boy can Mackenzie Harvey kit the ball, ironic that this website says he's a rightie. I'm pretty sure I was watching a leftie last night.

Anyone showing any promise should be banned from T20.

Inglis would be the one that I would look at for Test discussion.

Can play pace and spin.

But, question is he available for the Aussie's.

He's a Pom by birth from memory.
