Post-finals ladder

1. Richmond—only a lack of desire will hold back the premiership treble
2. Geelong—not yet ready to fall off the cliff; Smith, Higgins, Cameron and Kardinia Park will make them even better
3. Port Adelaide—problems at the bookends but good enough to cause headaches for most oppositions
4. Brisbane—heaps of room for improvement in gun youngsters like Bailey, Berry and McCluggage but ruck looks a worry
5. Fremantle—quietly building an outrageously talented list and will be better with Logue, Hamling and Pearce fully fit
6. St Kilda—offcuts and ratbags to make a decent fist of it, guided by an excellent coach
7. Footscray—massive chance to improve if they can make the list gel ... top 4 not beyond them
8. West Coast—will win enough at home to go OK but just don't see enough to contend when the going gets tough
9. Sydney—my big smoky; with Buddy back they only miss a couple of decent backmen before competing again big time
10. Carlton—great backline and promising forward line but Cripps needs more help and Kreuzer will be missed

11. North Melbourne—if I was a supporter, I'd be very excited with possibly the best young crop of players in the competition
12. Collingwood—a season that will end Buckley's time at the helm
13. Gold Coast—still not convinced despite smart recruiting and loading up on top end talent ... 2022 looking promising though

14. GWS—time for the fall and might spell the end of Leon's time in the head role
15. Melbourne—lack of skill and x factor will ensure well prepared teams continue to have their number
16. Essendon—if you thought it was already bad ...
17. Hawthorn—in no-man's land; can't see how they win games against even moderate opposition
18. Adelaide—miles off the pace and will be embarrassing at times with an inability to compete for sustained periods

Sorry mate couldnt disagree any more.

Teams. Capable of winning the 2021 flag.
Richmond. Too good all over the ground.
Port. Good side but have a couple of duds that will hold them back.
How the hell did Shirley Temple get AA has me fked. Massive dud.
Brisbane. Cocky side that will do Ok at home, but will drop games away to ordinarily sides.
Geelong. No speed No flag.
Will be watching the GF this year from home. Teams don't recover when they lose to us.
West Coast. Properly the biggest over hyped side in the competition. Besides Ryan, Shuey, McGovern and NitNat 7 possessions the side is very ordinary.
Collingwood. What a beautiful place the Lexus centre will be this year. They have weaken an already midfield with losing Treloar.
The pace of Stephenson will be missed and having Milocheck has the number 1 key forward will have them battling to make the 8.
Melbourne. Is there ever been such a useless, talentless football club in the competition? Our reserves would beat Melbourne.
Stkilda. What can you say about a club that recruits anyone with a heart beat to please a supporter base that lives on the bounce of a ball. No chance of winning the flag. They couldn't win one with lockett and then Riewoldt. Stkilda just dont win flags.
Sydney. Shitt, boring. No good kids. Back to the glory years of the early 1990's. Bottom 6.
Footscary. Ok side, coach has issues finding his best 22. Can do damage on their day. Making the top 8 will be as far as they go this year.
Gws. Absolutly destroyed after the GF loss. Will take 5 yrs to recover from the slapping.
Essendon, what a shitt footy club. More chance winning powerball 2 times in a month then Essendon doing any damage. Won't make the 8
Hawthorn, North, GC, Adelaide and Freo would struggle in the VFL.
Should take the year off and stay home.

Just did a quick ladder predictor and came up with this.

1 - Richmond - Nothing more to say, we are the best team in the comp
2 - Brisbane - Still improving but agree, an injury to the Big O could put them in serious issues being as their gameplan requires 1st use
3 - Port Adelaide - Similar thoughts to you, they will dominate at home, will win enough away to get them into the top 4
4 - Western Bulldogs - Reckon they will be a big improver next year, a combination of forwards being available, Treloar will improve their spread
5 - West Coast - I have them down for 14 wins, they will win enough at home to make finals, they will be hoping to finish high enough for a home final
6 - Geelong - They will dominate at Krapdinia, but they play several home games at the MCG and several away games too, reckon they will struggle at the G this year
7 - St Kilda - They have a great draw for the 1st half of the season, don't be surprised if they will be top around then. They will slide back to where they should be when they play the better teams in the 2nd half of the year
8 - Fremantle - I like their list, not as much as you, but I think they are certainly improving and can see them scrape into the finals. A WA derby 1st week of finals is mouth watering
9 - Gold Coast - Reckon they will improve big time this year and be on the borders of the finals. Reckon they may just miss out, but there are games there I have as a loss that if they can win, may just sneak in
10 - Carlton - Also improving but agree on their ruck situation, reckon they will lose out here. Improving a lot defensively but not sure they can kick enough against the best teams
11 - Collingwood - Similar thought pattern to you, they are on the slide and this off season will hurt them
12 - Sydney - Improving too, have some good youngsters, just not enough quality to get close enough for finals
13 - Melbourne - Finished 9th last year so maybe I'm underestimating them, but just don't see who will kick enough goals for them
14 - GWS - On a massive slide
15 - Essendon - Also on a massive slide, reckon they are rebuilding
16 - North - They have good youngsters but not enough, have very little firepower in the forward line and just can't see them doing much next year, are building their list though
17 - Adelaide - Flip a coin who finishes bottom for me
18 - Hawthorn - See above

Not far from what you have, similar thoughts for most teams.

Can see Freo and GC as big improvers esp from 2022 onward ( maybe add Carton to that list ).. Port , Stkilda , Bulldogs , Brissy, Geelong will be up there in 2021 .. But Go Tigers :)

C'mon you bludgers—give us your early crow!

Doesn't have to be a full ladder. At the very least channel your inner Zips and pot a few pretenders!

Or did I nail it from the get-go? :p

I will give you my top six the rest do not matter.

Richmond by a mile.Longer quarters, the G and just the experience now all around the club.

West Coast only because I want to see a top grand final and when they are good they push the Tiges.

Fremantle. Underrated IMO.Have a very good nucleus of a side.

Port Adelaide. A very good outfit and hard to beat at home.

Brisbane. A bit wishy washy but are in the mix.

Carlton. Improving and if they get a run on in the finals would love to see us smash the old foe by ten goals.

The rest are delusional(Geelong) or just pretenders.

I resemble that remark! :)

Tigers will finish 3rd (it's what we do). We'll start off slowly then build, hitting the pointy end of the season in great form. Rightful premiership favourites.
Wouldn't surprise me if we struggled (or even lost) round 1 though.

Throw a blanket over the next 10. Could be Port, WC, Brissy, Cats, Pies, Saints, Dogs, GWS, GC & Demons. I think we'll see a couple slip and a couple jump. I'm tipping Dogs to jump up. The rest, who knows?

Port should be around the mark.
Brissy - Dream run last year. Might still get into top 4.
Cats - Should get into top 4. Lots of games at Kitty Litter Park. But nearing the cliff. One year left?
Dogs - Could make top 4.
WC are another mob getting old. 5th - 8th
Pies - Maybe 5th - 8th but could drop out.
Saints - 7th or 8th. Don't believe they can sustain it, but they have a very good coach.
GWS - If they get in the eight they'll just sneak in. Don't think so.
GC - Win a couple early then fall away tipped. Sustained good form would surprise.
Demons - Interesting.Which Petracca turns up? The 2020 version or momma's fatty? 8 - 12th
Freo - Building but not this year is my guess.

Hawks are a lesson in how quickly you can fall into sustained mediocrity.

It's all very well to top up your list with a few stars—O'Meara, Wingard, Mitchell, Scully, Patton—but this ain't 2014.

Their kids, like Hanrahan, Scrimshaw, Morrison, Day, Cousins and even Worpel, aren't in the same class as Hodge, Lewis, Roughead, Birchall, Smith, Mitchell, Rioli, etc.

The Tigers would do well to take note!

Yep.
Heap of picks in a fat draft end of this year, hoping we use it to consolidate generation next.

Had to laugh at the OP comment bout North possibly having the best youngsters in competition. Reckon they pretty close to having the worst actually.

Pretty sure Carlscum has had the best youngsters in the competition for about five years in a row. Hasn't taken them very far up the ladder n still a long way to go before they even think about pushing into contention.

Need a balanced blend of a few warrior old farts, plenty of bloody good mid age n a handful of precocious young snot noses to get within range of a flag.

#lolnorf might almost be in the position that Carlscum were in about five years ago, if they're lucky. Reckon Noble might simply be an older version of Chuckles, someone to teach the youngsters the basics for three or four years before it's time for a new broom n another false dawn.

The hardest to beat will be Port Adelaide, Brisbane, stKilda, Geelong and Western Bulldogs. With us that is my top 6. The other 2 finalists will probably be the eagles and a newbie, maybe Carlton or Freo.
I like the lists Freo, Sydney and Gold Coast are building, will be interesting if the suns can hold on to their top end talent because they look like GWS of 4-5 years ago.
Collingwood, Essendon, GWS and Melbourne to disappoint. Buckley, Cameron and Goodwin to all lose their jobs

I'm pretty comfortable with my call.

Curtis Taylor, Cam Zurhaar, Jy Simpkin, LDU, Tarryn Thomas and Nick Larkey are all outstanding talents. Xerri and Stephenson also go OK. Jack Mahoney and Kyron Hayden have showed glimpses.

Less convinced about Bailey Scott, Ben McKay and Aidan Bonar but there are big wraps on Will Phillips from the national draft. I've also seen enough of Charlie Lazzarro to be confident he'll make it.

North's issue isn't its kids. It's the gaping holes in the mid-age bracket. If the likes of Dumont, Turner, Tyson, Polec, Atley and Corr don't pull their fingers out, it'll all be left to their ageing warriors and those kids to get the job done.

If we have our heads screwed on we will lope through R1,2,3 before Port Stk and Melb. Can see us dropping one or two there. Yep I expect Melb to be better in 2021.
Dogs and Cats R7-8 certainly have to be playing wellish. GW at the dump should be a shellacking before Lions at the Gabba in what will be another cracker bring it on.
Crows at the G will be ugly, as will the Druglords. The bye is next then Toast at Optus. Wish I could get to that we wil smack them. Then back home for Stk I like they Saints we"ll see how they go. The trip to Metricon if we cant win that pack it in. Then the Pies in what should be an evisceration. Lions againin our house see ya thanks for coming. Cats at the G yum yum. Freo at Optus yeah depends how they are going ....we have to lose a few so I'm marking it in red. lolNth at G goodnight. GW at GW have given us trouble sort this out plz Dimma. Finally Haw at G in finals tune up vs a garbage side. Max 5 losses for me if we are purring.

Fair enough it's all opinion based. U seem to know enough about their players.

Underwhelming list of players imo. don't think they have gone to the draft hard enough. I don't rate 2020 draft so apart from Phillips don't think much there.

Simpkin is a gun. Time will tell for others. LDU looks a million bucks but yet to show it. Think Larkey will struggle as main target/key forward.

Have a good mate who is a mad Roos supporter so I hope I am wrong.
I
