probably but it doesn't make sense, unlike cash no one else will touch my paper ticket

At a guess, I would say another factor is the failure for people to embrace technology, so they are shoving it down our throats. I prefer paper tickets and i definitely prefer paying cash.

I have printed mobile tickets in the past so paper will definitely work, I'm more wondering whether security / gate attendants will say anything
Mate if it’s not to much trouble could u laminate mine , just in case there’s a bit of precipitation in the air ;)

If anyone hasn’t downloaded the services Victoria app yet for the contact tracing for the footy, be careful. I have an iPhone and went to download it last night. I typed in “ services Victoria “ in the search bar in the App Store. I then hit the app at the top of the list without checking properly, but assuming it’s the proper app. I then checked the reviews. People were complaining that they were charged after downloading it and without being notified or how much. I thought this isn’t right. The government are forcing us to use this app and also charging us? It turns out it isn’t the official one but more likely a scam. I looked at the second one on the list and it had the official .gov suffix. Downloaded that and it looks ok. So please check carefully which app you download otherwise you will get ripped off

Side issue - but even buying a Footy Record this year means using a card.
I’m OK with it but noticed a couple of people being caught short last week.

I have been using paper tickets at the AFLW this season, no problems, quicker than the phone tickets.

It can be a challenge to print them but there are always ways if you have a printer.

I have the Ticketek and Ticketmaster apps on my phone and screen shots of the tickets as a back up.

Lol at Victorians only just downloading the app. Has your government down there only just rolled out the app?

In Canberra and NSW the equivalent apps have been in use for months and are a condition of entry to almost everywhere. we’ve had the equivalent app since September last year. Even my 79 year old dad has it and uses it daily.
We use it for sporting events, go to clubs, cafes etc. works great!

If this was to happen @fastin bulbous ...... I'd be interested to know the last time we had 2 draftees debut on the same day. .... maybe @LeeToRainesToRoach would know?
(It's probably a dumb question, but the last 4 years are a bit of a blur!)

Apologies. .... suppose this should be over in the changes v hawks thread
It's a good question. 2015 R7 v Collingwood (Menadue & Morris). There were another 5 games 2010-12 under Hardwick where 2 or 3 debutants were played.

There were only three years 1908-79 where 2 or more debutants weren't tried in a senior game. As such the current stretch is the second-longest in club history (after 1997-2005).

Ah yes!

Have to be very careful with similar looking web addresses app names etc.

My brothers are still running the family cherry orchard i grew up on and run a "tree rental service" under the name "The Cherry Boys"! I happened to mention i grew up on a cherry farm to a lady client i was quoting for some work, and she menioned how much she loved cherries. I gave her what i remembered as the web address for The Cherry Boys before i left.

I was only a few minutes down the road when i thought to myself that i better double check the web address to make sure i got it right.

Well................... That was my first and last experience with a gay porn site!

I was quickly on the phone to the lady client to warn her not to look at the web address i gave her.

Unfortunately the heavy breathing indicated i was too late!

Yeah, we live in the kind of dictatorship that doesn't require government surveillance of our every move. Dan's a bit of an amateur.
