Classic. ... Geelong supporters labelling Dustin a show pony when the bloke they're defending is up there with the biggest self promoting wankers of all time... His presidency of the PA is about him and his public profile and what goes on his CV as he pursues further spoils post career.

I loved Jack on 360 when he diplomatically said he copped what he deserved when Whatley was questioning if he felt sorry for Dangerfield. ..... "Actually I feel sorry for Jake Kelly!"...
About the only honest assessment I have heard.
Ditto about his comments concerning whether Dusty would make a good Captain.
‘Certainly with the right team around him’, was his response, suggesting I thought that he has no doubt who should remain in that ‘team’.

I have no instinct to defend Dangerdive. Mostly because he has refused to accept any responsibility for his actions. I think it shows poor sportsmanship the way he has failed while on the ground but moreso the way he has attempted to rewrite the events in the media. The Vlas hit was spur-of-moment. Even given that I firmly believe he could have dropped the elbow and taken the hit with his shoulder, I'm not sure that would have improved the outcome for Vlas but I do think he "chose" to leave the elbow extended. The Kelly hit was a "hit". He went for him. Legal or otherwise he has refused to be honest about it. So he gets his just desserts IMO. He is on the road to sniper if not quite there. One more of these though and I reckon his card is punched. Sniper. And in that scenario I would make sure Lynch was given plenty of leeway to do as he pleases with Danger.

Yeah it wouldn't surprise me if Tigers players are dirty on him for floss.
Funnily enough, I reckon the players would be reasonably accepting that it was a split second reaction n move on from that one. There was nil retaliation after, as there would normally be if they'd thought it was intentional.

Reckon the players would still be narky over the Clench's dive in the 19 prelim. Followed up by the fifty then the over long and careful goal kick from one metre out and the big lippy mouth in Dusty's face afterward. Clench's disappearing act after half time would've convinced all our players that he's nothing more than a self centered flog n unworthy of respect.

It was mentioned somewhere here earlier... he’s gone on the “Eddie front foot offensive” and is not reading the room at all.... we all saw how that panned out. Even a simple, “I hope he is ok” ( not even a sorry) may have swayed the 50/50 voices. But his pr play has been just awful

Dangerfield is playing today for Cats reserves because it’s a practice match he is allowed too. Interesting

The thing about the hit on Nick Vlaustuin that worries me, is how far back Dogsh!tfield has his elbow cocked up.

We can all look at it and say, he punched the ball and then made contact with Vlastuin a split second later, but the elbow is up 15m back and for mine this just isn't a natural action on the footy field, not for hitting a ball anyway. It's is however a fairly natural action for taking out an opponent who isn't looking, which seems to be the preferred style of Cow Patty Dogsh!tfield. His arm was up before he is even in the frame, and i imagine, up before the ball has even hit the ground to bounce up. With the unpredictability of our ball, it's a pretty premeditated action, particulary bearing in mind it is such an un-natural action.

This sort of action doesn't lend much control as to where you can direct the ball, and would be an action you'd use when you are caught out of position or your body just isn't positioned right to meet the ball. Nonw of this is the case on this occasion. He is in full control of his balance and actions well before arriving at the ball, so why adopt a position with your arm that is so limiting as to what you can do with the ball.

Imagine for example that the ball doesn't sit up the way it did. What use would his arm position have been then, which is why my theory is that his target all along was Vlastuin, and the ball popping up between then was an inconvenient occurance. This inconvenient occurance then becomes rather convenient as it has masked his true intention.

In my mind, i think this flog wanted to make a statement in his first GF, and the ball just happened to be ther inbetween and he's swiped it away before re-cocking the elbow, which is the next issue.

Yes there was only a split second between hitting the ball and then contact with Vlastuin, but it that time he had a choice between re-cocking the elbo or tucking it in, or for that matter, cocking it and taking Vlastuin in the chest, but no, he hit Vlastuin right in the jaw.

Ladies and gentlemen of the jury, i rest my case.

Totally agree frick, but this league lives on bureaucracy when it comes to regulations.

BTW, I was more on Columbo during that time.

My opinion is that the flossy incident contributed to the tribunals determination to make it a maximum 3 weeks. I think the flog is on notice.

Two games in a row? He should be on notice.
He should have been rubbed out for the hit on Vlaustuin for cocking his elbow. It was clearly not an act to protect himself.
With Kelly he only launches into his bump after Kelly has got rid of the ball.
He's a sniper.
Next one that the umpires need to pick up is Fyfe who gets away with similar but more sneaky every week.

Agree, Frick.

I've slowed down the TV slow mo further to get a good look at it (not quite frame by frame but slow enough to see it very clearly.

Hits away the ball and his arm/elbow slightly drops, then raises it again into Vlas. Two actions.

My main beef now is that it wasn't even looked at. AFL - "nothing to see here".
