Much has been said of Stacky and his failings but I don’t believe that the Club is free of mistake in this case.

The speed with which the penalty was imposed by both RFC and the AFL effectively denied him any defence.
The 10 week suspension was disproportionate to any penalty previously or since imposed and the severity was triggered not by his own actions, but by the earlier actions of someone who was not a contracted player.

The amount of money he was also required to pay the Club as a further penalty, was also directed with out regard to his personal circumstances and ability to pay.

He has been put through the ringer and has became a victim unlike any other.
If he gets up and plays for us in our next grand final, many will seek to share his success.
And possibly rightly so, but IMO if he does manage it that success will reflect only on his own courage and on his own effort.
And CCJ copped the exact some treatment and and we don't see the bleeding hearts going into bat for him.

Compare Stack to the penalty these two women got - no conviction and community work and I think what they did was worse.

The hurdles Stack has been made to jump over are disproportionate compared to others

Not in terms of the penalties handed out in WA.

As proven by Stack's repeated Covid breaches and related legal consequences? Right?

Perhaps you need to check out the results of the last state election in each state to get some idea of whose real world awareness is completely missing.

Meanwhile the Federal LNP government is doing a great job in the cesspit of Canberra along with NSW - state of corruption, where appalling land deal rorts of taxpayers money and doing-it-tough farmers' water rights - proceed all while the premier is sleeping with a venal politician seeking more shonky deals but ... poor woman had NO idea.

Hope you are living in one or the other. You deserve it for your atrocious ignorance.

So no more responsibility than any other player on the list?

I don't know either of them outside of being footballers or indigineous people, but on face value i'd say Marlion is the perfect person to be a mentor for Syd.

He's not expected to chaperone Syd wherever he goes to stop him getting into mischief, but some general life counselling could go a long way.
Having a “mentor” is total crap, it’s just an excuse to avoid accepting responsibility for one’s decisions and direction in life. If Sydney can’t work out by himself that he has been given the greatest opportunity to make something of his life that will benefit him and his family then Jesus, Mary and Joseph couldn’t help him.

Looks as if you've had the ignor-ance button switched on most of your life. And while I'm at it, what Covid breaches did Sid commit in Victoria?

But it's got to be Dan's fault right?

Please
- stop embarrassing yourself.

He is so far behind the others now in regards to fitness that I'm not sure we see him play this year anyway. Wouldn't be surprised if he is delisted year end. He needs a significant turnaround to save career I reckon.

I tend to agree.

Needs to forget playing AFL footy this year. I think he is going to have to work his butt off at training/in the VFL aiming to retain his spot for next season.

It doesn't sound right to me, Ledge. But who knows if the journo has got it wrong or the WA legal system has been overly punitive with a blackfella. Even money either way really.
If he has a recorded conviction, he’s going to find it pretty tough to get a visa for his rapping tour of the USA.

I reckon he'll bust out some rhymes when he collects the norm smith runners up.

something like;

So I ate 2 kebabs and ended up behind bars that were rusty
and y'all expect me,
to be better than Dusty?
growing up in the hood, pain is nothing new,
so when I get on the track, I spew and I spew.
so get out 'o my way or you'll end up like Viney,
Hey? take a look at these medals
aint they shiney?

Not sure you appreciate how close the AFL season was to being cancelled and how this jeopardised the entire competition. The Queensland Govt were absolutely filthy and did not want the optics that AFL players had preferential treatment over their constituents. And Brooke was in the RFC hub and therefore our responsibility.

Secondly, Stack was not fined by the club. The club was justifiably outraged at the severity of the AFL fine and the stupidity of the 2 individuals involved and sought to make both players contribute. This was denied by the AFL players association and so the club had to cut back casual employees hours to make up the $100k from their soft cap. People at the club lost work and wages.
In context, think your position may need to be reconsidered.

It will come down to his attitude. If he shows that he's serious about his footy then we'll essentially have a new recruit for 2022.

Think you should tour with him.
The world needs a new act since the Grammy award winning duo of Chopper Reid and Mark Jackson disbanded

I dont ignore anybody , But am also considering this

:D:D

You needn't worry, TdK, haven't you noticed I virtually ignore you anyway? But you keep me chuckling every time. Like buying into this even though no relevance to you whatsoever, with another silly comment, just because my ID came up.

For SA who appears to have fled.

If I had have realised you just wanted to throw a political drive-by into a footy thread with nothing at all to back it up, except a larger font (so impressive !), I wouldn't have bitten.
