As bad was the umpires were, we were worse. That says it all.
We were bad, I reckon the umps were worse. The swans were red hot, that was the game. Seriously the umps were beyond bad. The Nank mark not paid, the Parker dropped mark paid, emblematic. Free paid against Kamdyn for being knocked out, emblematic. Thats just a couple of emblematic examples in a relentless cavalcade. The umpiring has been generally bad this year, regardless of who benefits or if anyone benefits.

I thought we got a good go in the second half.

what game were you watching? Last Q sure, got a few junk time charity frees. But they brutalised us in the third. Horrendous. We were having a decent crack but ump snuffed out every little bit of momentum. To be clear, we were convincingly outplayed, but geez they were bad.

The more I think about it, K-mac free against when he was knocked out just highlights the incompetence. That would be headlines in any other code of football. Head is sacrosanct? Yeah right. Free against apparently. hopeless.

My personal favourite was the multiple times the centre bounce unfairly favoured the Sydney ruck and was called play on and the one or two times it favoured us it was called back.

Was it Heeney who got tackled by Cotch from behind and he dropped the ball like a hot spud, free kick Sydney, didn’t have the ball (apparently). City end 2nd quarter. He kicked a goal from the non-free kick. They got another free kick like that in the last, southern stand PRE I reckon. Free kick on half time siren, did not see what it was for? Nank non-mark.

Whilst we were *smile* today and made to look very second rate by what looks like a good team that all their fruity tutties came up with the rule changes it was very hard to watch when the maggots were piling on as well. You were expecting the whistle to blow in their favour at every damn contest as Sintiger said elsewhere.

We have all been witness to some shockingly bad umpiring against us over the journey.
But what I witnessed today was next level bad. Totally biased and corrupt.
Nothing has changed, the Swamps are still the AFLs love child and will get a silver service every time.

Umpire 7 BOG.
Absolutely no idea, paid the frees to the opposite team all day.

What about the deliberate in the first half PRE, northern side. The Richmond player handballed it to two Richmond players and stuffed his handball and No 7 calls deliberate. It was so obvious it was a skill error and the maggot calls it DOB

Tell me how that wasnt a mark to Nank at half back and a 50m penalty
This actually happened 3 times. Once in the defensive goal square, clear mark to Nank hit out after mark, cost a point. Should have been a 50. Then the one the you mention, should have been another 50. Then another in opposite goal square where the mark was paid but reid hits it out of Nanks hands and the accidentally kicks the ball off the goal line.
Just blatantly obvious easy decisions for the umps.

The umps clearly took the $4+ on the swans today. Every 50/50 went their way and against us. Papley, Parker, Floret got frees every time they played for one.

That was an original stuff up by Astbury who then tried to kick it about 2m along the line to a Tiger and kicked it off the side of the boot, was probably the most ridiculous deliberate I have seen in my life.

We got rorted. Cost us five goals at least.

But we still deserved to get flogged.

Mentioned this in the game day thread too. I reckon at least 20 of the 28 centre bounces were poor and a lot went out of the circle and were not recalled, at least 2 lead directly to Sydney goals. Whilst the stats don't look good from a CB perspective, I thought we were pretty good when the bounce was good, but were screwed big time in the umps not calling it back when their bounce was awful (more often than not).

Obviously the ump hasn't deliberately bounced it like that for the Swans but there seemed to be so many that just seemed to fall into their hands, the bounce of the ball was all in their favour today.

Personally think they bounced it so bad (and they knew it) that they were embarassed to actually have to call every one back so just let it go.

Us getting a few free kicks in the 2nd half is nothing more than the umpires trying to square up.
