By now all should know why tigers struggling early.
We finished our season 5 weeks later than 10 sides with a late October gf meaning we are behind others in every area including footy cohesion which was evident against the swans.
They played looking like they were mid season and it wasn't their speed,it wAs their team cohesion which tigers don't have this early.
Geelong ,tigers, port, saints, collingwood, lions all playing inconsistent and below their best, only first week finals losers bulldogs, west coast doing well.
That's no conincidence and last year should cement how important this fact becomes, media flogs ignore this as it doesn't suit them .

.kmac...damm!...we need more of him not less...collier dawkins like for like..give him 3 weeks to show us...hard running pressure is all we want
.presti im thinking a loss...familiar pattern (mismanaged? i read)
.cotchi seems to have lost condition, desire & disposal quality...3 weeks in gym & graham kicking tuition...battered body needs building up
.please dont misinterpret...nothing personal with next 2 premiership players but u can not justify to our vfl/supporters
.caddy...the lack of pace & associated failure to man up/create options is a broken record, continual brain fades, 50s in back half, & now disposal concerns...new trick is trotting backwards watching them chip over his head..
.the solution of sending him forward is mind boggling...is pace not the premium fwd, it is in the back half?...riewoldt, caddy, lynch, rioli spells turnover town to me...
.rioli....on for 10min, steals from bolton & hand delivers to blakey...like others mention, the contrast with the dees picket is startling...there is no explosive pace, skill set, awareness or hardness to justify any longer... mjr in NOW

.team selection....32 degrees & hard quick youthful oppo....soon became apparent to me & players i reckon- we didnt have the legs to go with them...asto, jack, nank, graham, caddy, cotch, presti, daniel, egg, lynch..even aarts, all come up short in these conditions...& the guys that dragged us thru 2 rounds- dusty, shedda, noah, george, shai, bakes & short all knew it...& playd like it.
.give the stars serious leg speed pressure backup ...u cant pretend to have it...& u will maximise output thru group belief.
.dust & shed must start on ball to maximise centre clearance early...bloody swans kept pushing dusty off balance as ball was bounced...look into it dimma.

B Grimes Balta Asto
HB Baker Short Houli
C Chol Dust Coll/dawk
HF Pickett Shai George
F Broad Lynch Jack

R Nank Shed Lambert
Int Mjr Graham Ross Ralphsmith

.give chol ago at the position he was born to play, especially in todays bruise free
.coll/dawk similarly has the tank & size to cover macca..the wings will not be out run/marked.
.pickett h/f returns speed, hardness & ball retention
.mjr the electrifying ace...get im in!
.broady the mobile tall fwd
.ross cos if he isnt in he will hit someone
.ralphsmith /aarts/ naish who i fear has egg syndrome

.u reckon it was a gift saturday dimma?...that u can always learn something from mistakes?
.howabout proving it then & actually acknowledge the role pace & pressure played in our 3 flags..theres another one available this year if get our balance right...
.dont worry about the new rule...we have the goods...besides, they'll have to make minimum kickn mark 20 metres soon to keep people awake & bang!....pressure turnovers....still the best equipped.
(but theyre gaining)

i think we need an injection of youth. look at how hungry the Swans kids were? we should be playing predominantly experienced players in the second half of the season.

I agree with mr.b its now or never for Naishy, especially with the leather poisoning.

Id bring in Cholly too. He troubles port and plus it is Laconic Footballer round.

He must play.

Im just crossing the days off the dreams calendar,

Until we see MRJ.

Has CCJ been playing the VFL praccys like Dangerfield, or do we respect conventions?

CJ didn’t play Saturday EZy, I have a feeling MJ may be closer then we think , his competition has been fairly poor an really has improved in so many aspects

im line through with Chol and as contradictory as it is , I wouldn’t be against him coming in this week as he won’t get a chance to prove himself as fwd ruck once CJ is available

I won’t be shocked if we lose 50% over the next 6 weeks, in saying that I won’t be panicking either, great opportunity to blood some kids, try a couple of tweaks

Personally I could live with a couple of losses over the next few weeks BUT ONLY WITH WE TRY A FEW OF THE ENTHUSIASTIC YOUNG BLADES. NOT IF WE CONTINUE TO PERSERVERE WITH THE CADDY'S AND AARTS ETC

Interesting you say Caddy and Aarts , while a majority of the best 23 may be a tad of mentally and physically as they build into the season, they are 2 that I’d say would know they are playing for there lives now, a few bad games in match committees eyes and I’d imagine it will be hard for either to get back in before September, effort and team morale is something Aarts doesn’t lack.

In hindsight, 'ole mate Markov might be handy right about now.

Not a criticism (merely an observation, I’ve done it too), but there seems to be a prevailing wish to die on the hill of certain fringe players who leave for better money/more opportunity.

By the same token, Brandon Ellis would be handy since McIntosh knocked himself out and Caddy is struggling. Everyone was losing it over Butler’s form and now he has reverted back to what is probably the mean.

It happens, players move on. I care more about what Mansell, Ralphsmith or Naish could offer than what a player who isn’t on the list is doing.

I know what you're saying. I actually had no problem in Markov leaving. And still don't. Just saying in a perfect world he'd be handy right about now as an option.

I’m not a boooooooer, however liked the fact the Hawks fans gave it to Smith when he’d walked out on the club that had set him up for life for a few more dollars .

It'' probably be Houli, Ross, and Naish for Grover, Dion and Egg.

Martyn will probably play if Cotchin misses.

Ralphy possible chance for the vest.

We will have a midfield runner on the bench this week after we got it wrong last week.
