UK figures show death by blood clots as a result of AZ vaccine: 4 per Million
Deaths by blood clots from Covid-19: 1800 per Million

I'd take the AZ vaccine if it was the only one available today.
Yeah, but you won't. You are having the Moderna one on Monday.

yes, who knows? The 48 year old who died evidently had some other underlying health issues.

I'm having the AZ in the next week or so and I am over 50. My risk of blood clots from it would be far less than a young healthy woman making the decision to go on the contraceptive pill.

Seems to be a bit of transmission going on in hotel quarantine despite people being separated in different rooms. Very hard to contain when it's airborne.
Can't help but feel it's a matter of time before we get another breach with so many returning from OS with infection.

Sky News was the only place i could find it, and considering how biased they are against the Labor Party, reinforces my point that Albo's quote implied batteries are involved.
Found it in a couple of places. Current technology in batteries ( i have one installed) wont charge a car. Even if he implied tech is not there to do it. False bs claim irrespective. Hate to think how many batteries it would take. Just a crap comment either way imo.

Spoke to some work colleagues in India. It's quite bad there and they're resigned to being the world's herd immunity trial. The culture there makes it near impossible for people not to mingle closely. The hospitals are struggling. They also said that this strain ripping through them seems to be a lot more contagious than previous ones.

Saw an article today reporting that ScoMo was pleading for over 50s to get the vaccine.

Really?

You incompetent f***, we'd be getting the vaccine if you had organised the vaccination properly.

Total deflection that statement, trying to shift the blame. If he wants to see who to blame he should look in a mirror.

I saw a clip yesterday of two patients lying on the same bed on ventilators. It’s seriously bad

People cancelling vaccine appoitments due to blood clot concerns so why not throw the programme open to whoever wants to get their jab now?
The "Phases" are in complete disarray so why persist with them?

I'll wait until I can get the Pfizer vaccine, that was the vaccination of choice for ScoMo.............................
I'd guess you'd be waiting until sometime in 2022 then. I'm not convinced that "secured" means anything other than we're somewhere in a queue of indeterminate length.

Yes its just misdirection. I and my wife would get it if we could (both over 50) but we can't as yet.

Really good table here showing the impact of the AZ vaccine for both a 55 year old and a 25 year old.

Clearly shows why those under 50 are being advised against taking it, but why it is still being promoted for those over 50.

For a 25 years old 11 in a million will get serious side effects from the vaccine, and 23 in a million will die from Covid, it reduces but not significantly.

For a 55 year old, 4 in a million will get serious side effects from the vaccine, but 800 in a million will die from Covid. Thats a significant difference.

I got The 1st jab a couple of weeks ago, my wife had to get advice from the Doc about getting it due to an ongoing medical condition. He advised her to get it asap, the 1st available time for her was late June!!!
What an absolute *smile* the Feds have made of this rollout. They were trying to blame the States (as usual, nothing's their fault) but they can't pass the buck on this at all.

According to news this morning you can. But when and where who knows.
according to the Aust Govt Dept of Health website, we can't.

also, according to the news, the "State and territory leaders reached an in-principle agreement to bring forward the vaccination of Australians over 50 years of age"
doesn't mean over 50s can go out and get it today, even if there were enough doses to go around

it truly is a *smile* show

Media hysteria about blood clots has caused further consternation about being vaccinated. How many people have actually died from the AZ vaccine side affects, as far as I can see only 1 in Australia & she had other health issues.
There would be far more deaths if another outbreak occurred, than people dying from the vaccine. You've got more chance of dying in a car accident than from the vaccine.
Again the media have caused a lot of unnecessary worry for people with their sensationalist carrying on.
