This game has double the importance considering their first round pick is ours. Cmon tiges.
If they don’t win this time maybe the reality that their reliance on a Dads army approach is deeply flawed, hits home.
We win this one and it becomes all up hill and slippery for Cats.

I dropped an email to get some clarifications on this video. Here's the response:

It was in the station promo package for Round 8 so was produced outside our 360 team

The image isn't real which is quite confusing

The Geelong players were looking at their training schedule on the screen

The Richmond celebrations have been added in editing

So yeah, it's not real.
Makes sense. Surprised Geewhinge havent complained about it. They have been playing that loop all week. Pretty ordinary by Fox.

Good work.

This is what I'm hoping. We slap them senseless tonight and they really start to question their ability and hopes against us, Scott starts to experiment and it all falls apart and they slide down the ladder.

He already knows, tonight won't change that. He knows deep down that he hasn't got the player's to beat us.
A result tonight in there favour, wont make him sleep better

Our record is not great when we come up against the team we beat in the Grand Final the previous year.

2017 - We beat Adelaide and then lose to them in 2018
2019 - We beat GWS and then lose to them in 2020
Both on interstate *smile* Heaps not the G.

But a valid point and one to be wary of.

Marlion v Blicavs relief ruck, might give Tom and Jack extra breathing space if Blicavs has to ruck some time.

Settle down. Esava's only been named as an emergency; just like CCJ for us, so looks like they can only be the sub at most. Scott would have to drop someone else to bring him in late. Stanley? Or a small?
Seems doubtful in a night game at the G in May.

However, Ratugolea played well with strong marks and converted for goals that match so he can pose problems for our squad missing Grimes and with Nank sole ruck. I'd make CCJ sub if they choose ER.
BINGO

It might also signify what the opposition coaches are directing.
Avoid sending the pill outta defence near 3 time premiership players Rioli and Castagna. Go thru Aarts' man and run away from hi

Regardless of the theories, 42 pressure act points is very good for a small forward. Means he's doing his defensive job. I do agree though small forwards also need to take their offensive opportunities.

After a good start to the year, George looks lost. Even when he goes to the right spots, the ball isn't coming to him. Tackles aren't sticking. Hopefully he can work into it in the second half.

Double BINGO
It's hard for anyone to gauge how crap Stanley is, or Salty thinks he is - even after towelling up NicNat two games back. But the evidence is he got it wrong; would almost certainly have done better with Stanley. Nank dominated the ruck - mogs just killed us for the clearances, especially 2nd half with our limited midfield depth atm.

Ratugolea was really poor; 10 x Ds, 8 HOs. When they got totally on top in the 3rd Q, not one possession. Blicav took over in 2nd half.

That's one thing Salty got completely wrong.

1. Geelong are ancient and slow
2. They were bog ordinary last week.
3. they've been staring into the abyss for a few years now, tonight could well be the night they get pushed.
4. Richmond are the greatest side of all time at the height of their power
5. Dusty is back.
6. its on the MCG
7. Zach Guthrie is playing
8. L. Dalhaus is playing
9. Tom Lynch is in red hot form
10. its the vibe
Missed by "that" much!! Only 63 pts, doubling our score. Maybe it doesn't always pay off to get completely carried away and fail to respect the opposition. But, fine, I accept you're a confirmed brightsider. Some may even say ... far-out brightsider.

But how come we haven't thrown MRJ and Sid in from previous match or this latest? Would love to know if the special hotline to Dimma and MC keeps dropping out?
But, remembered you're ignoring me so ... never mind.

Anyway, long way to go in '21.

Last week we came from behind against quality opposition and won. Last week Geelong looked to have a good lead against Sydney and managed to stuff it up (crap umpiring at the end notwithstanding, Geelong shouldn't have let Sydney back in the game).

So, last week we look like we're getting our mojo back and Geelong look old and slow.

One week later and Geelong are looking quick and highly skilled punching holes in our defence. We look slow, ineffective and fumbly.

This sure is a topsy turvy season.

Yes, Dave, it's really hard to get a handle on. Teams' performance so variable week to week, except the Dees!! :p

If they lose to the Swans tonight, it will be consistent with the year thus far!
