It's certainly a theoretical possibility, but of course I'm speculating based on a second hand social media post.

Thanks for the informative posts, TBR.
Does sound a bit grim for Titch.
All we can do is wish him well in his recovery and rehab.
And hope that replacements are able to stand up and perform in his absence.
Gonna have to tough this year out Tigers. It's gonna be a grind, but certainly not beyond Dimma and the playing list.

This is a massive blow if we lose Shane for an extended period.

No Prestia or Lambert or Cotchin now Shane.

4 of our top 6 mids.

Seriously. Tigers MUST get over GWS, and Adelaide at the very least in the next 4 at least to go in 6 and 6.

Even at 6-6 top 4 is a reach.

Ideally we SHOULD and need to take care of the the Drugs leaving us going in at 7 - 5 (we are still right in the game here for top 4).

My confidence has taken a hit with these 3 completely non competetive and impotent thrashings in the second half.

Its a bit grim but we are still in it for now its a matter of hanging on again its 2019 esque.

Lose next week though and we are in serious Barney Rubble.
Yes our best players but also those with most miles on the clock.
Wondering if some are wearing out.

What’s the definition of medium term, anyone know?
It's part of our new injury reporting format. Rather than putting timelines of two weeks, four weeks, eight weeks onto players n then having meedjia crawling all over us if the timeline is a bit out of kilter. We simply go with short, medium n long term injuries.
Short term, nearly there shouldn't be long.
Medium term, bugger it he's fairly crook, we'll get him up n about as quick as we safely can.
Long term, oh FFS, *smile* hit the fan n he'll be lucky to be back before next year barring some sort of miracle cure.

The club has to be cautious with Shane's injury as he is an integral part of our success. However if there is a bright side then remember he was out for the bulk of last year and came back in the finals with a bang.

This is true. In fact, we had Sheds, Prestia, Houli and Cotch miss substantial chunks of the season in 2020

The difference is this is a longer season.
Which should work in our favour. The players missing have enough time to get themselves right and have a significant impact in the second half of the season.

and Nank

round 8 last year, we had no dion, cotchy, bachar, sheds, Nank

we lost

we were 9th, 1/2 a win behind where we are now,

having played 2 sides in the 8

as unlikely as it seems,

we are tracking better than 2020 on all fronts except %

Did Edwards miss games last year because he was becoming a dad for the first time??

Depends. The guys available need to chip away and bank wins, otherwise there may not be much to come back to. Next 4 weeks are crucial.

Strange that we get nearly all of our injuries in the early part of the season. Rarely get any major injuries in the back end of the season and finals. This has worked well for us as the players returning are fresh and firing at the pointy end.

Bugger someone had to go there. You have challenged the injury gods now.

If we keep getting injuries I might start hoping for another extended lockdown to delay the season!
