Just got off the phone to Trent.
He's confirmed he will play.
Lock it in.

So we could have 3 debutants?
Ryan, MRJ, and Parker (Rfc Debut)?
plus Titch.
plus Marly.

5 changes after a good win. Unheard of.
Couple of boys to get dropped.
Toby enforced, George (on form or lack of) Caddy, RCD and Hugo.
Last 3 very unlucky.

And George being Beavis's poster child. Even that ain't certain.
And still no Syd-a-knee and Dan to stay as 23rd?
He won't like that.
Unless they make Parker 23rd.
Did I miss anyone?

Gonna be some ticked off lads tonight.

Not really, there's not many secrets that anyone can't find out if they take the time.

I still don't think you'd hand over the nuances of your stoppages and set-ups to a player who might well be drafted by another club though.
You think if Parker were to be delisted by us he’d be picked up by a third club? So when can you play him , after how many weeks? But won’t he still need to know the IP by then? Doesn’t make sense.

Anyway, whilst I understand your point about him not knowing the teams blueprint I think he could be informed of the basics, be guided by team mates, the runner and the coaches during the game. And I’ve heard Dimma say numerous times “just go out and play”.

Samson Ryan a sneaky chance to debut. Hardwick alluded in his presser today he wants to continue with the 1 ruck and 3 talls.

Can't see it, (Samson), happening unless Dimma is serious about taking 2 steps back now for 1 step forward for the future.

Another potentially season defining game, we have enough AFL inexperienced talls in CJ & Mabs.

Samson has virtually done no rucking in VFL games and played predominantly forward. Don't think he has endurance yet for around the ground.

Takes a good coach to know when tried and trusted methods won’t get us enough wins in the home and away

Play Ryan forward and alternate CJ and Mabs ruck and forward.

This is what I am thinking. If Ryan comes into the team it will be as a forward.

Chol to do the bulk of the ruck work with CCJ to pinch hit.

Identical to how we set up in the reserves.

All I know is that match committee wont be a 5 minute discussion. Plenty to ponder.

Don’t you love it - back to back premiers and we are still experimenting with such fundamentals at the mid point of the season Mind you - plenty of kids coming in and importantly stepping up when required.

As supporters we can‘t predict the makeup of the team - the opposition have no hope.

Sounds like Ryan might get a run. Will be an interesting game with so much change to structure and personal over the last couple of weeks.

Nank is a huge loss and that does not make our chances any better.
Ruck therefore has to be Chol and CD.
Not a very exciting prospect.
We need to win the centre clearances against this speedy team.
