We were in Q3 against the Dogs. It's a matter of whether we have enough hunger, drive and energy left in the tank to sustain it for 4 x Qs. The great unknown at this point.
Agree.
We can do it, we can definitely beat anyone if we bring it on the day. Whether we can win enough games to make it feasible to win a premiership is the question given the lack of continuity in our team
Melbourne are really hungry

Melbourne are definitely the No.1 challenger.

they have every ingredient of a premiership side, except experience;

in Gawn and Jackson, they have 2 strong, very good ruck men who kick goals (as far as premiership ingredients go, this is like flour)

in Petracca and Oliver they have the 1-2 game turning punch; (eggs)

In Lever and May they have an A grade well organises defence hitting its straps. (butter)

In Rivers and Pickett they have the emerging young stars (sugar)

In Mcdonald they have the unfashionable journeyman in career best form (vanilla)

and most importantly, their bottom 6 aren't all bums (2 or 3 of them maybe, but playing their role well)

they won in a new, Richmond way last night; inevitably.

So I expect Richmond to meet Melbourne in a prelim or GF.

and we'll need to coincide our best 20 on the field, and get our bottom 3-4 in form, or find a new set.

And I expect The Dees wont know what hit 'em, and their club would be banished to the wilderness

Melbourne are far and away the best side in it and look like a lock to finish top.

Their challenge now is to maintain this level through to the finals and beyond but history shows that’s very hard to do. Something like only half of all minor premiers in the last 20-30 years go on to win the premiership. Every other potential contender is going to be working overtime to pick apart Melbournes game plan.

They are now the hunted instead of the hunter.

What if Gawn went down?? Bye Bye.

I dont think so.

Luke Jackson is very, very good.

I watched last night closely and am convinced that right now, Melbourne are significantly better than the rest,

and that in September, they will likely be significantly more than half as good as Richmond

Agree.

I think its a 3 horse race now; Melbourne, Geelong, Richmond.

Dees did us a big favour last night despatching Brisbane; we win tonight and we're a game out of 4th and primed for a push.

If Melbourne maintain the form they're in and the energy and system they are playing, and Richmond cant overcome injury and form issues,

They would be deserving premiers.

and im pleased about that; I'd hate to relinquish our reign to frauds.

They are very genuine and great to watch.

and I dont say that lightly

Thought Smelbourne looked like bog standard waddlers for most of the first half. If Rafa Nadal could kick straight they might have been 6 goals up at half time.....second half GoDeez certainly lifted the workrate.

It's a long season and as good as Melbourne are travelling they haven't encountered Richmond September pressure. Port were top from start to finish and Richmond September pressure got them at home. Melbourne will spend alot of gas tickets if they maintain this form to the end.

I think it’s a quarter, not half.

Yep, your right. Only six teams since 2000 have done it. None since 2013.

The pre-finals bye is also proving a disadvantage to top 4 teams. Finishing top 4 and winning a qualifying finals can mean some teams go into a prelim having only played two games in 25+ days.

Not sure they have a premiership forward line. Will Fritz stand up, Pickett , McDonald? Not so sure. They have been kicking goals but I reckon if you can break even in the centre and hold Petracca down a bit their forward line will struggle

Gold Coast (SE - QLD).
Dont know who I want to lose more tonight the GoDeez or the Bears.

Go Deez staying in the top 4 and running out of steam in August September might be best result for the RFC.
Lions don’t do much away from the Gabba
A Qualifying final v them on the MCG gives us an automatic prelim on the MCG.

Maybe unpopular view here. Hoping the pies can chalk up wins or brave narrow losses to some insignificant opposition, it could help get Nafan an extra couple of years extension. Don't use up all your popcorn, you'll need more.
