With Nank and Lynch out, we don't have a second ruck unless you pull the second tall out of the forward line. Samson is not ready.
I think it really hurts us with no second ruck. Struggling with options. Unless Ccj can ruck more and put caddy forward.

Sometimes I just think it’s how we play, as infuriating as it is.

Raise the fight when needed. That’s all. Tried and tested finals recipe.

Incredibly good win. Very few teams could turn the tide once they hit the front and not only scrape it in but knock their heads clean off.
Yes we let them back but we won't make those same turnover mistakes late in the year.
Absolute flex from the Premiers, we just remembered how good we can be.

I tried to be magnanimous to my Bummer bro in law but he answered that our best three players were in fluro, so I responded, "I liked the part where you hit the front then we kicked 7 goals."

It reminds me a bit of some matches in 2019 against the Pies and Dees where a tight match became a 7 goal win. Good signs.
I really find it difficult to see many positives out of that game except 4 points. We struggled to dispatch a very poor team and our ball movement and decision making was often terrible. Of course I am very happy with a win but cannot help but feel that we are papering over some big cracks at the moment. Our defence is sloppy, defensive running mostly woeful and we decide to play a tall short but have a few underperforming mid sized and small players who still get a game every week. Not convinced

Pages 26 to 30 are funny to read. Patchy performance but we won by 39 points. It's June people. Big test next week against the Eagles. After that the draw opens up and I would expect to lose only one game after the bye at most.
Hope you’re right. Reckon 16-6 gets us top 4. 15-7 with our average percentage won’t.

Not sure what to make of CCJ game.
He was good. Fought to get front position, moved and contested. Even drew a couple of frees as a result. Should have had set shot in Q1 instead of handing off to Dusty. Thought he rucked well too which made it even more confusing about using Pickett in the middle. Caddy was getting run ragged on the wing & didn’t understand what Hardwick was doing.

Yeah one of my best mates is a Bummer and said the same thing. I advised him to look at the free kick differential from the last 5 seasons. Crickets…………………..
