Biggest dumb ass in the game.
Struggle's to put 2 words together.
An older version of the dumb ass from Freo.
Harvey isn’t a dumb arse, far from it. Has never been a self promoter and those types rarely get senior coaching jobs. He won’t get the job at the Pies but hope he does well. If Lyon gets the job suspect he keeps Harvey.

I just read a quote from fat Ed and thought there was something unusual about it.

“I remember years ago being told by Jock McHale that he thought Bob Rose was the greatest [Collingwood] player he saw, and that Bob Rose thought Nathan Buckley was the greatest Collingwood player he saw.”

Hmm. I looked it up and saw that mchale died in 1953. Ed was born in 1963.
Didn’t realize he could communicate with the dead. That or he just makes *smile* up. Not like him to do that is it?

History will judge him more kindly than it should because the bulk of the media consider him a good bloke.

Disagree, history is bigger than the media and Bucks never got his flag.

I think history will be less kind than the ridiculous massaging of his immense ego this week.

Selfless? Club first? Gimme a spell. Nathan Buckley might be a consummate media performer, be exceptionally driven and harbor a deep understanding of our game, but he lacks the human touch all great coaches need.

That’s one thing, but what annoys me are the lengths our small-pond media will go not to offend this seemingly untouchable man.

Neale Daniher never coached a flag but was a better coach. Ross Lyon never coached a flag but was a better coach. The list goes on.

No one eulogised for them as much as the industry wants to for Nathan Buckley.

Thank *smile* for cold, heartless history. That was the mark Buckley wanted to leave and he failed. So what. *smile* happens.

Apparently this just the beginning. I talked to my clairvoyant and she says there is some good news and bad news for Collingwood. She says that Buckley has resigned so he can lead a takeover of the board at the AGM. He will win, then appoint Eddie McGuire as coach. Collingwood will finish near the bottom of the ladder for most of the 10 years McGuire coaches. Buckley will be even less successful as president and Collingwood will be force to merge with Port Adelaide. The good news is the arguement over the prison bar jumper will be resolved. The bad news is my clairvoyant is an optomist.

Cant see the scum appointing a rookie coach that's not a Collingwood person, It's not their style.

So I would say, it's between:

- Clarkson
- Leppa
- Voss
- B Scott
- Roos
- Worsfold

Whilst I do wish Bucks all the best for the future. .... it's a tad over the top that he's somehow become a coaching icon since effectively being sacked.
Surprised to see the Herald Sun only devote 18 pages to yesterday's events.

Expecting them to really get to work before the weekend to produce a nice full colour, 60 page, exclusive souvenir magazine . .... (Yours for only $4.95 with token)

If the Pies had any brains, and the Blues for that matter they would be headhunting Craig McRae. Fly has an impeccable playing and coaching CV, they could do a lot worse.

good call tMan.

6 flags and an apparent lack of ego is a decent CV.
