My match committee now has Pickett out of the side now when everyone is available.

I don't think the RFC match committee agrees, but it is a sign of how much talent we have available.
Reckon Dimma n the match committee like players who do plenty without the ball, Fish is serious fun when he ain't got the pill. Three flags in four years n we've consistently been one of the lowest game day stats teams during that entire period.
Rule changes might mean we've got to play a slightly different style of game n control a few more possessions, but doing all the grunt work without the ball will remain a massive factor in the way we play.

It's a numbers game as much as anything. From our 22 on Saturday I want Nankervis, Lambert, Lynch and Astbury back in and I'm playing a third forward, second ruck so CCJ stays. And that's before I even look at the Riolis who I'm very keen to have in as well.

So I've got to move out Collier-Dawkins, Caddy, Chol (reluctantly) at a minimum and then it's really tight.

My best side for the finals is something like:

B: Vlastuin Astbury Grimes
HB: Houli Balta Short
C: McIntosh Prestia Baker
HF: Aarts Riewoldt Edwards
F: M Rioli Lynch Coleman-Jones
R: Nankervis Martin Bolton
I/C: Castagna, Broad, Cotchin, Lambert
Interesting take, but no way fridge is out:.
B: Vlaustin Astbury Grimes
HB: Houli Balta Short
C: McIntosh Prestia Lambert
HF: Edwards Reiwoldt Bolton
F: Aarts Lynch Cujo
R: Nankervis Martin Cotchin
Int: Castagna, Broad, Graham, Baker
Pickett 23rd

I'm speculating a bit and probably dreaming re M Rioli but I've still got Pickett, D Rioli, Collier-Dawkins, Caddy, Chol, Graham, Stack, Ross and Mansell up my sleeve. The depth is extraordinary.
Fair enough.

This week we need Marlion in every centre bounce as a midfielder
Main task is to tackle and tackle hard Nic Nat everytime he grabs the ball at centre bounces

Fair analysis. That's a bloody good side and yes if everyone is fit then our depth is very good. I agree with the 3 talls and CCJ as second ruck. Graham has to be in the side so MRJ is out; plenty of time for him. I'm also not sure Astbury is best 22 anymore; seem to have struggled a bit this year. At this stage I'd have him out for Marlion. Broad into the backline and Marlion on the bench.

I'm not a fan of Marlion rucking. Prefer a proper second ruck.

Case of break glass in case of emergency, such as losing a ruck to injury mid game.
I dont mind the odd center bounce leap, but no way should he then be following the opposition ruckman around the gourd. Especially if the opposition ruckman moves forward

Would love to know the clearance stats when Pickett is in the ruck? @LeeToRainesToRoach
My biggest concern is he gets dragged deep into defence which allows bush footballers like Phllips to take marks and kick goals.
Definitely not ideal but Philips only kicked 1 goal and took 2 marks inside 50. Obviously we're giving up a few minutes of the game acknowledging it might cost us in return for an extra runner. Question is whether the net result is a positive?

You have your own match committee? Impressive. I have my cask wine.

My thinking is if we play the third tall, we will have to play a speedy pressure forward as well, which will likely be a Rioli.

There's also the question of how Parker might fit in as well, who I had forgotten.

Graham has kicked a few bags over his career (multiples of 3 and 4 goals) so would be able to play the forward pocket role IMO.
