Williamstown V Richmond (20/06/21)

The in the back in the tackle rule needs to be looked at. That Willy player had it for an age and then fell over to draw the free.

Some shocking umpiring decisions in the last. But our kicking for goal was also woeful.

Vfl team could do with some big bodied mids to help the youngsters. Also a couple of KP vfl players that arent absolute spuds wouldnt hurt either

Yeah but Shocking just wants to stop people bumping, doesn't want to look at the rules that actually give people the *smile*.

BTW, was that blond umpire who seemed to enjoy paying frees against us, Nathan Williamsons brother (who loves to pay frees against us in the AFL)?

Naish and Mansell are the two I would look bringing in based on that performance.

Shocking wants it to become AFLX. If he had his way the players would be wearing sashes, and if you can take the sash you get the ball.

Draw! We were the better team but gave away dumb free kick reversals and our kicking for goal was crap. Had 5 more scoring shots. Those 2 reasons are why Willy got away with a draw. That last free kick to Willy was *smile* too; he took a massive dive and umpire fell for it.

Some good signs from our players though. Dominated after half time just gotta use the ball better going forward. Parker played very well.

Very impressed with matt parker but must nail goals within 25 meters, he gets that goal we win. Oh well a draw it is

Very young team today that should have won if not for some terrible goal kicking. While there are some players that look exciting i wouldnt say our depth is anything to be confident about.

With the amount of easy peasy chances we missed to seal this game, I dunno why people are blaming umpires. The non-win is completely on our shocking kicking.

Yeah, that flopping forward in a tackle drawing a free is absolutely atrocious. If they want to stop players flopping for a free kick, they have to stop paying these. Pathetic excuse for umpiring, happens in the AFL all the time too.

Our clearances were no good, just got smacked at clearances. Players never seemed to be where the ball went.

Same issue with forward 50 entries, bombing it in to no-one in particular, that we have at AFL level. What is going on there? It needs a lot of improvement.

Mansell is a wasted talent in the backline. I reckon he would be a ball winning midfielder

Parker

Thats about it
Stack could be anything but not sure if he makes it. Note to coaches. Leave him in the backline. Do not move him again. His best chance if he is ever going to make it. Let him play that defensive rebound role.
The rest are VFL plodders
