We can win the flag without Dusty.

it just means we're only 20% better than 2nd best

Is bruising all they have said. Contused Kidney ? Bruising possibly a bleed or encapsulated laceration which they will observe.

Have they made refence to how long Dustin is in the Hospital?

K mac can stay and keep him company :mhihi

Hopefully its only bruising.

I did have a fleeting concern for his kidney / liver but the fact they didn't send him straight away made me hopeful it was a hip cork.

Sounds like a nasty injury. A very important player and good to see the club is being decisive and he is out for the rest of the season. Needs time to recover, and hopefully his foot can heal while he is lying in bed.

Get well Dustin, have a well earned break and come back in 2022.

Massive loss but we are far less reliant on Dusty than people think.

Lynch back and firing, Baker up forward, troops returning in midfield, the addition of Rioli, Stack and Mansell down back with Vlastuin to return also.

Nank and Chol providing critical structure.

We are still a big show.

They tried to but he refused to go in the Ambulance. He wanted to be there for the end of the game for Jack's 300th.
Cheers Large Son Of Bull.

What a champ didn't want to miss the end.

Had a touch that green around the gills look on the bench, which was not overly convincing he was ok.

Yeah thats not flash.

Not surprising just thankful our Champ will be ok.
What’s the recovery like Craig? I know he won’t play this year but if he has ruptured a kidney, what’s his next few months going to be like?

Scoop depends on the severity of his injury, the structures involved within the kidney and what interventions are undertakwen if required.

If he has a ruptured or lacerated kidney, the treatment and recovery time can differ obviously from a contused or bruised kidney.

There are various degrees of kidney injury from trauma, with most of them non requisite of surgical intervention except the most severe.

The kidney can heal itself well as long as blood supply is not lost and enough healthy tissue is viable.

Serious bleeding can occur in high grade trauma to the kidneys due to the huge blood supply especially the renal veins and arteries.

The majority of kidney injuries are often now left to heal on their own unless surgical intervention is neccessary in the case of transection or damage to a major vessel resulting in internal haeemorrhaging.

Bleeding from lesser kidney injuries doesnt always show in the urine as it may be from Kidney tissue that escapes into the space behind the kidney.

If Dusty has a non surgical injury he will recover with simple rest and general care over a number of weeks.

He will have ongoing management, tests and scans to keep an eye on his healing.

A few weeks and he'll be much better as the bruising pain and inflammation lessen during the progress of healing.

If we manage to make finals then tipping he'll push real hard to play. He'll be feeling fine in 4 weeks and will need to be held back.
