I got them off @LeeToRainesToRoach

I did a search but couldn’t find the posts but from memory a 29 yr old going to their second club averages 30-40 games. Going to their 3rd club was 20ish (from memory)

It’d be madness to offer a 29 year old a 4 year contract .
There are stats, and then there are stats.
What is the average for 29yos with no injury or fitness issues who are still playing good football? As opposed to the James Frawley/Josh Jenkins types?

Great question.

Those thinking Parker wont improve our chances of winning a flag have not watched many Sydney games.

They're interested in everyone. Luckily, the only ones interested in them is those they offer inflated pay packets. Surely their cap is tight now.
I know Silvagni isn't there anymore, but geesh has their been a recruiter with more first round draft picks than this guy, yet come up spuds?

He was lauded as some sort of drafting genius on the basis that he managed to call out a name when his turn came up, around 6 times during the first 10 picks 4 or 5 drafts in a row.

He got to do the same thing 3 or 4 times a draft for Carlton. The only thing is, it seems he called out the wrong names. Worse still, when he went to the Blues, he was like a dog returning to eat it's own vomit, dragging a whole lot of GWS hacks across to the poor old Blues. He was like a virus that was trying to kill the host, which isn't a great strategy for a virus!

Think that is too subjective. Burgoyne probably skews the stats. Which category would you put Lids in?

Lids & Hannerbery unmitigated failures

Neither Lids or Hannebury would fit the 'no injury or fitness issues' clause when they changed clubs.

It probably is subjective, my point was though that not all older recruits are equal.

A bit of perspective on Deledio. Yep he jumped ship at the wrong time and his calves were shot but he did play in winning finals in each of his three years up there and GWS made preliminary, semi and grand final so while both club and player would have been disappointed with the end output you really couldn't call it a failure, Had Richmond been unsuccessful people would be hailing Deledio's clever move!

If Cumberland's right to go throw him in the seniors and put him on the ball.
Reckon he'd go alright.

Thanks Lee.

So 29yr olds at their second club average 23 games. 18 at their third club. It’s pretty damning.

Interesting how 28 yr olds at their 5th club average 135! That’s obviously 1 player, Dale Kickett. And I assume it’s Adrian Fletcher age 28 at their fourth club boosting that average to 42? (79 games at Freo)

Are there any 28yos at their 4th club we can target?
Actually that data suggests we should target 18yos who are already on a list. Any good options?

Yes, Kickett. Something got out of sync, it's actually 26yo's. Will repost with the number of players in each category.

Surprisingly Dylan Stephens name has come up in the media. Maybe unsettled?

Don't think he will leave, but a number on here were fans.

They’ve still got that pile of yellow envelopes in the bottom drawer that Elliott left behind.

Part of the salary squeeze and not enough game time
For Stephens I reckon it's mostly guesswork. He gets the sub most weeks, like Ross for us.
But as a high draft pick the journos would focus on him and guess "he must be unhappy and wants to leave"

I still think Parker will stay in Sydney. George Hewett is an RFA, more likely to get squeezed out.
Parker and Kennedy still the 2 main mids for swans doing ALL the heavy lifting.
When they need someone to lift its Parker.
No chance swans let him go.
Would love him at the Tiges.

Georgie Hewitt is a backup /defensive mid that is in their bottom 6. He is expendable

Tim Taranto is someone we should be looking at. Hunts the footy and the man very well and at first glance seems to cover the ground well enough to fit in our system.

Almost the opposite of what I saw from Narkle last night. I would be steering well clear.
