no-ones disputing his value to us in our premierships. Just raising concerns about the future and how his salary impacts us if he's not able to perform to the required level due to the knee concern.

Didn't he have an operation this year? Maybe he's rooted.

He looked great first game back from the operation. Noticeably freer.

I think his output is a product of:

1. the role he's been asked to play (bring the ball to ground and wrestle with the big gorillas. No coincidence Jack has his best games against sides without a solid number 2 key defender).
2. our ball movement.

Spell him for the rest of the year and the skipper too.

No need to rush Braod and Vlastuin back either.

Agree Harry, Lynch should be a key to RFC going forward given JR probably finished end 2020. He is not travelling well for whatever reason. Given his long term contract I would like to have faith that the MC know what they are doin. Recent team decisions however IMO make that questionable. Even in the unlikely event we make the finals given we may have a number of players going around lacking match fitness and simply be cannon fodder. Going forward I personally would like to see Lynch get fit and healthy for 2022 and not wasted for the rest of the year

They killed his instinct last year everything he did was in the spotlight. We get nothing compared to other big forwards.

Can we hire one of those PR people who goes out in the media and changes the persona of our players in the public so they dont get reamed by the umpires every week.
Its like night and day watching us get umpired compared to other teams.

Like seriously when is soccering off the ground now and automatic out of bounds free kick.

Seems the rule of the week is always brought in just in time for our games.

Like shocking calls the umps before the game and says "you know the dangerous tackle rule, reckon you guys keep an eye on this one as there's been some let go lately".

Or "you know the deliberate oob rule? Reckon some teams have been getting away with this when kicking off the ground. Trust that you guys will take care of this".

Lynch is clearly having a hard time. I only saw the highlights of the Freo game, but he kicked one from maybe 45m and missed from 15m. Trouble is between the ears, and that could be influenced by injuries.

We need to get him right, not just physically but mentally too. When he is up and firing he is a real threat and a potent forward.

If big Tommy was anywhere near 100% he takes 10 plus marks against Logue , something is not right , be it knee, fitness, whatever , Lynch at his best destroys players like Logue .

In saying that Logue is a good up and coming defender but not capable of stopping Lynch

Can't remember the last time Lynch jumped more than 5cm off the ground. There's something seriously wrong imo. Needs to be rested, get a good pre-season and come back bigger and stronger next year.

Not sure his knee stifled his contribution, had he nailed that simple set shot , he would ave had a pretty decent game . For a decent kick he sure can *smile* it up

If he can. I’m worried the knee injury is degenerative. Nothing like the player I thought he was.
Thought he was excellent in 2019. Had some great years at GC but somewhere along the line things have gone downhill. I really do think it's injury related. This affects your confidence and it can easily spiral down hill from there. If it is degenerative the I don't think he has much time left in the game. Helped us to a couple of premierships so no regrets.

Yep - helped to win 2019 flag. Couldn’t have done it without him. Fell away a little in 2020 but this year has been really poor. Slow & can’t jump at all. Probably back ended massive salary & 4 years left. Must do everything possible to get his body right & play to his level. Otherwise it’ll badly hurt us.

Im not sure why we are so worried about the salary cap. Its 37 year's of compensation little Hazza.
Who cares? If it impacts our cap for the next 5 years.
2 flags are worth every single cent.
