Shocking squad, curious to see final side but it feels the weakest in a long time.

We hardly get anyone selected when we're winning flags..... surprised they didn't stick an asterisk on us and put us into deficit for next year!

Everybody but us hates us. Seriously, Dusty struggles to get in when he has a good year. He should be a walk up start playing injured for half a season, like Niknat. Seedsman? Did the mullet guy from port get in again? Byrne Jones. amateurs.

Surprised cats only got two. Thought last year they had a plethora of players in it. And Buddy? By performance or reputation? I haven’t watched the swans.

How the *smile* in Franklin in the top 40?
Bullshitt
Hawkins & Rich don't deserve to be in the top 40.

I told you guys Seedsman is a gun wing man.

The undisputed superstar inclusion pass applies to Buddy, but not to Dusty. They look for reasons to include Buddy, Niknat et al, they look for reasons to exclude Dusty.

I think we could probably only make a case for Short. Jack's been good in patches, but has been missing in some games.
I don't think we could argue for too many.
All-Australian squads are usually BS anyway. Why would this be any different?

Dusty played as many games as Buddy, and to greater effect.

The notion of excluding the greatest player of all time from the side,

is a joke.

Pick the best 22 players.

Dusty is the best 1 player FFS.

Dusty, JR, $hai should all be in the squad.

farcical

Daniel Rich or Dusty? Really?

the selectors squads should be like cabinet papers, released the following year,

to expose the bozos.

Seriously, Dusty struggles to get in when he has a good year.
Interesting to look at the numbers for players averaging 20 disposals and a goal over the h&a season since the squad concept in 2007.

Ablett 9 times, 8 AA squads, 7 AA teams
Dangerfield 6 times, 6 AA squads, 6 AA teams
Martin 9 times, 5 AA squads, 2 AA teams

FWIW I didn't think any of our players were worthy of the squad this year, whether due to games missed, consistency or just plain not good enough. Different story in 2013 when we won 15 games and still didn't get anyone in the squad.

Woopee f***.

Seriously, who cares?

Would any player swap a premiership medal for multiple AA blazers?

Those numbers are revealing, especially given Richmond have been a low possession team and Geelong more towards high possessions.

You could make a case for Shai but apart from that we would struggle to get a player in the top 40 this year, not enough consistency.

The notion of no Richmond player doesn't offend me. There have been recent discussions about who wins our B&F. When we are talking about Graham, Baker etc, it's not surprising we have no AA players. Don't think Graham or Baker would be AA contenders at this stage.

Bolton would be in the mid season AA but fell away. Jack is probably closest. 3rd in Coleman but you'd have him as your AA forward ahead of Mackay.

Agree with the comments that this is one of the weakest AA teams in memory. Welcome to footy in 2021 and thanks for your contribution SHocking

Can we think of any players that played at a high level in 60% plus of games? Shai was on track early but fell in a hole last part of season. Maybe even broad for squad but he got injured - was having a great season.
