Losing Rioli or Baker means more quality walking out the door. Quality that will form part of our next premiership assault.
It would be quality out the door and I would be saddened/disappointed.
Reckon we keep both.

But imo if we did lose one of those we would shuffle and fill and cope. And still be in shape to contend in 2022

Completely disagree.

Losing Stack, CCJ, Rioli and Baker would be a list management disaster.
Funny, thought I'd said virtually the same thing, just a little less dramatically, 2 posts before. But, whatever, at least we agree.

Tigers star’s brutal reality check

I learnt 2 things from Fox Footy article today. Chol is a star and there is very limited interest from Victorian clubs.

I haven't seen that article but I reckon even the Tigers have limited interest in Chol right now and will let him walk away.

I think we'll keep him but it won't be a for a big contract. Small $'s IMO, probably just a year too

I would be surprised because we have dropped Naish simply because he couldn't give us the goods when needed. Mabs is the same. We need only those that will give us 100% for 100% of the time otherwise they let their teammates down.
I am glad I am not involved in recruitment!

I think he needs to focus on forward play only in order to succeed at AFL level. He tends to play his best games when given some space to move.

He is not a ruckman. We judge him harshly after we try to make him one.

The Essendon link (aside from Rutten and Caracella) is a little strange given they have Draper, Stringer, Wright, Harrison Jones and potentially Nik Cox who could grow into a key forward who you’d all take over Chol.

Mabs towelled up the Bombers 3 club journeyman Andrew Phillips over in Perth.

Chol was superb in the first quarter, and had a good game, he wasn't worth a dime from then on.

If he ends up at the Bombers, I won't be surprised if Rutten turns him into a beckman.

He may not be a ruckman, but all his best work has been around the ground.
Haven’t seen him take one legitimate overhead pack mark in the forward line.

Unfortunately the FA period is before the trade period. I have an inkling we'd keep Mabs if we could get something like Hollands or GC's pick 4 in a deal for CJ.

So ….what would we get in a trade for him do you think Casper ?

CJ? On his own probably a late first/early second. Perhaps CJ and one of our seconds or the Geelong pick pricks GC's interest, given they've said their first pick is on the table for the right player and the alternative is Sam Weideman.

Of course, CJ would have to go there, and why would he.
