Yeah I didn’t know that this was allowed.

classic AFL'ism.

Policy on the run.

I like that South Freo get a player back, but Claremont wont be impressed.

They mustn't have anyone on the board or in the hall of fame who went to school with Gil or his dad?

I think it’s a good thing that he is allowed to play. His contract with us is finished and he would have played enough games for South to qualify. I hope he goes well and gains confidence in his work and comes back to us next year in even better shape.

A lot of people at South Freo would have been both sad and wrapped that Pickett and Parker got a chance at the big time , Parker being cleared to return will only help us down the track. Can’t have too many eyes and ears on the ground and want to be seen as a good club to deal with by people in the west.
Good too see Richmond admin practicing Richmond Man stuff and hopefully karma comes our way

Couldn't let this pass by without airing your inferiority complex? It's perfectly sensible, straightforward decision.

huh?

if you're referring to class warfare,

its a superiority complex i got

and i said it was a good idea,

and ill take a swipe at The AFL every opportunity,

because theyre entitled, unqualified, unaccountable, inconsistent, *smile*.

whats your excuse?

This bloke will be our one and only Parker next year - so I hope he goes well between now and then

Luke has just signed for 4 years with the Swans (as per online Age report)

Well remember a famous #4 doing the same.

Dimma mentioned he will be back next year so expect a contract is on the cards for 2022. He is in Quarantine at the moment therefore unable to play this week finals games. South Freo finished second so must have a double chance in the Finals. I think Parker is a late bloomer & can be a very good player for the Tigers in the future

The usual rules about clearances don't apply when you are coming from AFL level down, you can be cleared forward and back at any stage for any reason. It's usually used for kids still playing school footy.

In this case I would say we just aren't that bothered by the potential risks to him because he isn't seen as being crucial.
Or that the benefits to morale outweighs the risks.
As posters have said he gets to play finals, get back to his home club, get family time.
Club is looking after a worker.

The risks as you say will be low, for the club at least potentially losing Parker isn't a big impact

As long as they don't beat Subiaco good luck to Parker, hope he gets some quality game time. After a few games in the AFL I would hope he would find it easy in the WAFL and has some great games.
