Just saw this on the RFC Home Page.
Some interesting names in both teams, some club swappers and even a notorious boundary umpire.
For those with longer memories, is the Jenkinson named here any relation to Noel Jenkinson who would of played a couple years later?
Also it lists a 17 year old Glenn Dickson, is that the same guy that played some seniors about 1979?

"Diamond Jim" John Tilbrook playing for Melbourne reserves, wow he was a highly priced & prized recruit for them at one stage. Never really amounted to much.

Laurie Fowler became an instant hero of mine when he KO'd Carlton's jailbird Big Nick in the 73 Grand Final.

Would have been intimidating for our bloke on him and being two stone lighter.
He was an impressive specimen Tilbrook even if he proved a dud player

According to Wiki Glenn DIckson who played 11 games in ‘77 & ‘78 was 6”1’ and as born in November 1954 making him 17 in Sept ‘72 so I’m gunna say it’s the same Glenn DIckson. Wiki also says he is the dad of ex Footscray player Tory.

edit:
BIOGRAPHY
Glenn was a half-forward. He spent a long time in Richmond’s Under/19 and Reserves team as well as two seasons with Prahran before gaining senior selection in 1977. Glenn was badly injured when he swallowed his tongue and choked after a collision with an opponent during a reserves’ game against South Melbourne in Round 21 of 1974. It was only the quick action by his opponent that saved him from choking. He was a very successful goalkicker with the Richmond Seconds and Thirds, finishing with almost 300 goals in his seven seasons at Richmond. He was a member of Premiership sides with the Under/19s in 1973 and Reserves in 1977. He holds the club record for the highest individual goal tally by a Reserves’ player in a Final. He kicked 8 goals in the 1978 elimination final against Fitzroy. Glen also kicked 9 goals against South Melbourne Reserves in the same year. His best effort with the seniors was 4 against North Melbourne in Round 2 of 1978.
Glenn played his best football in the VFA with Prahran firstly on the half-forward line and later in defence where he used his long kicking to advantage. He won Prahran’s Best and Fairest twice, captained their side in 1983 and also represented the VFA. He ran fourth in the 1981 “Liston Trophy”. Glenn now lives in the outer eastern suburbs.

I note the boundary umpire is G Carbery, is this the umpire that was head butted by Fabulous Phil Carmen?

A few years after Laurie Fowler went to Melbourne, I was working with the late Terry Smith at the Dept, of Conservation, we had a Public Service footy match V Public Works Dept. Terry couldn't play , but I lined up v Laurie Fowler, I think I got 2 kicks for the day, the guy was tough as old boots.

I was sorry to see both of them leave Richmond. Laurie because of the 73 GF, and Smithy played a great game in the 1980 GF, he was gone a couple of years later. Not sure why, Francis Bourke must not have rated him.
