Reading between the lines it is clear that CCJ has requested a fair trade and Norf are trying it on. Tigers are quoted in Hun saying they might retain him Which is probably also trying it on but in effect telling the insignificant club that two can play hardball. North also know we are looking at moving picks to improve our draft hand and we do not want to miss out by being stymied by this deal. See who blinks first.
Hope so Mole.

Imagine what the Swans fans are going through thinking they will only get 23 + ? for Dawson.

Dumb question to everyone. Why arent we taking the salary dump McPherson from GCS and Pick 19 - he's rejected North's longer offer. If this is true, could he be more inclined to come to us?

Is it the $ we don't have, even if we were to trade / delist a couple of fringe players like Garth, Pickett?

Just so crucial we maximise picks in the top 25-30 of the draft. Would like 5 picks please.

In terms of strategy, would strongly prefer to keep our picks rather than sacrificing them to trade for higher picks.

List spots also crucial which is why we should not be keeping Parker, Eggs or Garth at the very least.

5 quality kids represents a generational pivot point for the club.

agree. we could set ourselves up for a prolonged period of success - and not via the geel / haw top up method.

As long as we dont get a hand like we did with Tambo, Meyer, Polo, McCalamity, Limbach, and Pattison, or another Lennon, Vickery or Corey Ellis.

Certainly a horror roll call Craig. Think we are much better placed these days.

Geelong wanted pick 8 for a guy in their reserves. LMFAO.
Jordan Clarke?

Scarlett was not a big fan of him by all reports.

Its funny clubs wont play guys but always want elite prices for them.

Makes me think its easier for the Tigers to take 38 or whatever for CCJ so they at least get something that can be used for other business.
