There goes the dream of having Coleman-Jones, Collier-Dawkins and Eggmolesse-Smith in the same team.

May well have been an AFL first

Before anyone gets too emotional I've got no doubt we pushed him and Chol out.

1. We played both this year at times when they probably didn't deserve it to try and increase their trade value
2. We'd seen enough of both of them to know that Chol is too lazy to make it and CCJ can't jump so can't get his hand to the ball in the ruck. Time to cut our losses on both
3. We saw enough of Ryan to know that he can replace one of them next year and we can draft another developing ruck this year.
4. Despite some concerns at times during the last few weeks we got exactly what we wanted.

Now we've got a pick 19 or 20 in 2022 it gives us the chance to trade our 2022 1st for a top 5 pick this year

Farewell CJ. I hope you have a good career (except whenever you play Richmond).

For real!? I can hardly imagine a player leaving in more "disappointing" circumstances.

Honestly, who cares. If a player doesn't want to be here (and he didn't), get a good deal and move on. He made a career choice, people do it all the time.

Looks good..... Can work work it out in a crazy points based calculation.

42, 47, future 4th round pick 70(?) + CCJ for future 2nd + Tarrant + Pick 40 + Chol comp stays at 38.

42 + 47 + future 4th = 395 + 316 + 0 points = 711 points

Chol compo would have moved back 10 spots to next band if Tarrant went FA so that's say another 150 points.

So 711 - 150 = 561 or pick 33 points wise.

North give future second say 23 (being generous?) or 815 points + pick 40 or 429 = 1,244 or pick 12 points wise.

1,244 - 561 = 683 points or pick 28.

So with only using a points based calculation we got equal to pick 28 + Tarrant + Chol compo 38 stays at end of second round - lost CCJ .

Looks like a win to me.

The attraction of playing in front of huge crowds with Norf must've been too enticing for CJ.

Pick 19 for a bloke that played 4 games in 4 years.
That's a scorching return.
I hope he likes playing in Arctic conditions.
