You say "what could possibly go wrong"...................they could give Old Mate number 37, that's what could go wrong. Lounder #37, Esler #37, Post #37 !!!!!

Technically speaking, I said “possibleye”…

…but your haunting point is well made!

If he's too unco to make it at basketball with his height, I can't see him being good at footy. Anyway, 4c a pound.
Not necessarily. There are far more b’ballers around the world than tall footballers. Schlepping around crappy leagues with no guarantee of actually being paid v having a crack at footy. He is clearly good enough for a Div1 college so has some high level athletic skills

2024 - 2025 at best project player. I suspect out of every 20 "Soldos" that give it a crack (other code to AFL) 1 or 2 end up playing seniors.
True T-pops.
But the advantage of Soldo is that he is already in semi-elite pro sports. So he has an understanding of professionalism and preparation. More likely to make it than the other 18 'Soldos'

I think the difference is that Colina played junior football until his teens with Noah. This isn't some kid taken out of a totally foreign sport and starting the basics from scratch.

Exactly

He has some idea of what to do already. Just needs to match the required AFL output.
However his height means he could maybe do a reasonably job in the FF line if we absolutely need him earlier than we would expect

You would think at that height if you're semi coordinated you'd go alright.

According to the Talking Tigers podcast Matt Clarke said despite him doing well at basketball, he'll be back at Tigerland early next year. We may need him..

And I think he'll reach pretty good heights if he puts in the necessary effort.
