You say "what could possibly go wrong"...................they could give Old Mate number 37, that's what could go wrong. Lounder #37, Esler #37, Post #37 !!!!!
Not necessarily. There are far more b’ballers around the world than tall footballers. Schlepping around crappy leagues with no guarantee of actually being paid v having a crack at footy. He is clearly good enough for a Div1 college so has some high level athletic skillsIf he's too unco to make it at basketball with his height, I can't see him being good at footy. Anyway, 4c a pound.
Also one of my favourites from that era, T-man. Great ruckman and a really good forward.Yep, one of my all time favourites, he had sticky fingers.
Like a tall streak at Collingwood? With his height at worst we could use him as a stay at home FF controlling the 20m from goal
True T-pops.2024 - 2025 at best project player. I suspect out of every 20 "Soldos" that give it a crack (other code to AFL) 1 or 2 end up playing seniors.
I think the difference is that Colina played junior football until his teens with Noah. This isn't some kid taken out of a totally foreign sport and starting the basics from scratch.
Not sure if this has been posted previously but he sounds pretty determined. A cousin of Balta and a disciple of Maric. You would think at that height if you're semi coordinated you'd go alright.
Yes he pretty much said Mate Colina has already checked out mentally and is looking foward to coming to Richmond to concentrate on AFL and is excited about coming in a couple of monthsAccording to the Talking Tigers podcast Matt Clarke said despite him doing well at basketball, he'll be back at Tigerland early next year. We may need him..

You sure he didn’t say MASSIVE backside?Clarke said he see's "MASSIVE upside" in Mate`, (jeez how much taller than 7 foot do you want )
... Never in doubtYes he pretty much said Mate Colina has already checked out mentally and is looking foward to coming to Richmond to concentrate on AFL and is excited about coming in a couple of months
And I think he'll reach pretty good heights if he puts in the necessary effort. Not necessarily. There are far more b’ballers around the world than tall footballers.
