There's only one thing worse than the other side (tweedledum-tweedledee) winning.

And that's allowing anyone else entry to the game.

I reckon possible confusion about parties names contributing to fools like David Leyonhjelm getting elected is possibly worse.

How in any way is this acceptable or normal from Channel 7's Sunrise program*?

What an unmitigated disgrace from Kock & that network.

*Liberal propoganda machine.
WTF watches Sunrise?

Koch is well named.

The only people who don't seem to like independent corruption commissions are those being scrutinised. All the more reason to have them.

Although I reckon a fair few people wouldn't like the ATO audit teams sniffing around their tax returns.

Yeah, but I did find it quite funny that he got elected because voters couldn't be bothered reading the name correctly on the ballot. Can't stand his selfish politics though.

Ultimately the current major parties want it to stay a 2 horse race and idiots like Leyonhjelm don't really threaten that. What is far more of a threat is some of the independents because the primary vote of the major parties has dived over the decades and third party/independent candidates are now a real threat. It is always worth remembering, when the newspapers and pundits talk about 2 party preferred vote, that the ALP won the 1972 election with 50.1% of the primary vote. Neither major party can get near that these days (last Federal Election the Libs/Nats and all their variations got about 41.5% and the ALP about 33.5%) and that potentially opens up seats in the lower house for third parties and independents. The independents are also forcing the major parties to put resources into what were safe seats they could ignore, this is more the Libs problem, but Labor have the Greens to deal with in a very similar manner.

I'm a fan of the New Liberals. I think a lot of people will be when they learn more about them. There is room (and need, and desire) for compassionate, progressive politics that encourages innovation and entrepreneurs while keeping a check on power and making sure we don't leave people behind.

Hey look over there..Aussies in space!
“Australia’s rover will catch a ride on the rocket to the moon and then it will be operated whereby it will collect the lunar soil – then NASA will determine the level of oxygen in the soil for us then to determine how is it that we can actually sustain human life on the moon,” Ms Price said.

Thank You Melissa Price... geezuz... what year is this ?! it's embarrassing ...

Narrator voice-over - you can't

One of my current bugbears is the fantasy of setting up a colony on Mars. 1% earth's atmosphere density and it's all CO2. 50 times the solar radiation of earth so you would have to live in dwellings coated by CO2 ice and a metre of soil, so no windows. Also if you go outside you get a fatal dose of radiation after about three years, so you'd have to use drones to do stuff outside. The soil is toxic. Temperatures subzero. 38% Earth's gravity means your muscles will waste away you'll get cardiovascular problems.

As per this video "Mars is awful and you almost certainly don't want to go there".

The whole living on Mars is just a marketing ploy by Elon Musk. He doesn't use standard marketing, he IS the marketing. Cult of personality.

So when he talks about sending people to Mars he's really just drawing attention to his own businesses.
