If he was 198cm you would keep him on the list. But lacked size, and speed to play on smaller players. But he didn’t lack any heart. Best wishes to him.

A straightforward deselection of an honest trier who was not able to reach the heights of first team footy. Hope he finds a home where his limitations will not hamper him

Can always say he was there when we were great, and he got to be alongside and play alongside some of the greatest Tigers ever.

Congrats on your years at the RFC Ryan.

Honest and Tiger Tough !!

Cheers and thanks for your efforts.

Best wishes for the future and whatever comes next!!

It's amazing that a guy taken at Pick 72, with one of the weirdest kicking actions seen, could keep himself on the list of a club that was going through a dynasty. Clearly worked hard on his game to try continually improve which is more than a myriad of more talent afl wannabes have been able to achieve.

It's a shame it never worked out for ya Garthy, but you gave it your absolute best shot. You've done more than almost every other Tigers fan out there - well done, I'm jealous.

Like every player who had the great good fortune (as my dear departed Dad did) to spend time on the Richmond Fottball Club list, I wish Garth and Eggs nothing but the best and envy them the time they had with my beloved Tigers.

He has his limitations but one thing that could be said, he gave everything he had. That’s all anyone could ask.
Plenty of players with more ability, but less application, something Garth had in spades.

Yep and for a couple of years when watching in the VFL it looked like he was doing a good apprenticeship and that he’d be right to snag a spot in the senior side at some point in a smooth transition.
Alas not.
But good on him anyway.

That Happened to me once.
Fell face first into a meat pie full of sauce.
Lucky for me it was cold.
I still miss going to the footy and have the meat pie and sauce plus a beer or three but it has to be a good memory as it is too far to travel nowadays
Early entry at the MCG that day eh, 77777?
